On 20 Jul 05 Penny Rogers, age 29, 2736 Veto
Road, Vincent, reported, unbeknownst to her, her landlord allegedly
disconnected the telephone line to her trailer. This case remains
under investigation (1090).
On 20 Jul 05 Lt. Wilson conducted a traffic
stop after observing a motorcycle operator fail to stop at
a stop sign at the intersection of Charles and South Seventh
Street in Marietta. Christopher A. Streight, age 19, 226
Sixth Street, Marietta, revealed he borrowed the bike from
a friend
to ride around the block and did not have a motorcycle endorsement
on his license. During the stop Lt. Wilson removed a baggie
containing marijuana from Mr. Streight’s pocket, which
Mr. Streight admitted was his and also confessed he smoked
marijuana three hours prior to his contact with Lt. Wilson.
Consequently, Lt. Wilson arrested Mr. Streight for possession
of drugs, for not having a motorcycle endorsement, for failure
to yield the right of way and for possession of drug paraphernalia
and transported him to the Washington County Jail.
On 20 Jul 05 Kristina Watkins, age 20, 150
Camelot Road Lot 41, Belpre, reported sometime during the month
of June a former friend allegedly stole her credit card information
and used it to amass over six hundred and eighty dollars in
charges. This case remains under investigation (592).
On 20 Jul 05 Lt. Canavan and Deputy Sheriff
Simmons received reports from neighbors of Timothy Sheets,
age 22, 517 Mitchell Avenue, Beverly, stating Mr. Sheets was
intoxicated in his front yard with a shotgun and threatening
to shoot himself. Another neighbor usurped the weapon from
Mr. Sheets until assistance arrived. The Deputies immediately
noticed an odor of alcohol on Mr. Sheets and he freely admitted
consuming beer and whiskey. Completing their investigation,
Lt. Canavan arrested Mr. Sheets for possessing a weapon while
intoxicated and transported him to the Washington County Jail.
On 20 Jul 05 Deputy Sheriff Malone issued
a citation to Thurman L. Smith, age 35, 126 Dean Street, Marietta,
for failure to reinstate his operator’s license. Deputy
Malone stopped Mr. Smith on State Route 26 near County Road
12 in Liberty Township.
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrants:
Roger V. Cruse, age 40, 615 McKenna Street,
Williamstown, for operating a boat on the Muskingum River with
an expired registration on 2 Jul 05.
Jeffrey Moore, age 20, 510 Carson Lane Apt. A, Little Hocking,
for failing to display a dog tag on his dog on 20 May 05.
Robert G. Price, age 33, 4319 20th W., Canton, OH, for contempt
for failure to appear for a hearing, having been indicted on
driving under the influence with specification.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Timothy William Sheets, age 22, 517 Mitchell
Avenue, Beverly, for having a weapon while intoxicated, a misdemeanor.
Sheets was arrested in Beverly by Lt. Canavan of the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 20 Jul 05 at 5:35 am.
Terry David Osborne, age 39, 8974 Cleveland
Road, Wooster, OH, for nonsupport of dependants, a felony.
Osborne was arrested on state Route 821 by the Ohio State Highway
Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20
Jul 05 at 2:00 pm.
Jarrod Richard Leon, age 29, 618 Lakeridge Drive, Lima, OH,
for violating the terms of a protection order, a misdemeanor.
Leon was picked up at the Allen County Jail by Deputy Sheriff
O’Brien and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 20 Jul 05 at 8:15 pm.

on South Seventh Street by Lt. Wilson of the Washington County

Jail on 20 Jul 05 at 9:10 pm.
Marvin Ray Ruble Jr., age 32, 133 Acme Street Apt. A, Marietta,
for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Ruble was arrested on
Charles Street in Marietta by Patrolman Hupp of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 20 Jul 05 at 9:25 pm.
