On 13 Jun 05 Michelle M. Stewart, age 41,
118 Deerwalk Circle, Marietta, reported when she received a
phone call from an individual stating he found her purse along
the road, she examined her unlocked vehicle outside and determined
a portable DVD player, four DVD’s and over six hundred
dollars in gift certificates in her purse were missing. This
case remains under investigation (1071).
On 13 Jun 05 Deputy Sheriff Willson investigated
a claim made by James L. Williams, age 56, 2070 Upper Fifteenmile
Creek Road, Marietta, that his neighbor removed his oil and
gas connection to a nearby well. Deputy Willson learned Mr.
Williams and his neighbor have been involved in a dispute over
the ownership of the well since 2004 and that the conflict
is a civil matter.
On 13 Jun 05 Carl Landaker, age 43, 14975
Waterford Road, Waterford, reported between 3 am and 9 am that
morning an unknown suspect entered his unlocked vehicle and
stole a pack of Winchester cigars along with the loose change
in his Ford truck. This case remains under investigation (296).
On 13 Jun 05 Sgt. Hiatt and Deputy Sheriff
Kapple received a report from an individual in Athens County
that her boyfriend Gary B. Johnson, age 47, 16875 Murphy Road,
Amesville, took her Ford Bronco without permission. While on
an unrelated call Deputy Kapple noticed the vehicle in question
traveling northbound on State Route 60 in Beverly without its
headlights. Making contact with Mr. Johnson, Deputy Kapple
noticed he was unsteady on his feet and had glassy, bloodshot
eyes. When asked, Mr. Johnson stated he consumed twelve beers
and could not successfully complete field sobriety tests. Based
on his observations, Deputy Kapple arrested Mr. Johnson for
OVI and transported him to the Washington County Jail.
On 13 Jun 05 Wayne Isner, age 50, 11006 State
Route 60, Lowell, reported at some time since 7 pm Saturday
evening, his Galaxy CB radio was stolen from his truck belonging
to Iddings Trucking. This case remains under investigation
(500).
On 13 Jun 05 Harold Westfall, age 45, 8185
Stanleyville Road, Whipple, reported between 10 am Friday and
12:30 am today, an unknown suspect forcible entered his home
and stole a check along with a Winchester 12 gauge shotgun.
This case remains under investigation (500).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Shaun Wesley Sturm, age 20, 100 Cisler Lane
Apt. A4, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered
hearing on unpaid fines and for failure to appear, both misdemeanors.
Sturm was arrested at Speedway in Marietta by Patrolman Huffman
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 13 Jun 05 at 1:45 am.
Gary Bruce Johnson, age 47, 168 Murphy Road, Amesville, for
OVI and for driving under an FRA suspended license, both misdemeanors.
Johnson was arrested in Beverly by Deputy Sheriff Kapple and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Jun 05 at 2:00
am.
Joshua Allen Campbell, age 22, 3635 Bear Creek Road, Lowell,
for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Campbell
was arrested in Lowell by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County
Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 13 Jun 05 at 2:25 am.
Kevin Charles Nolan, age 37, 205 Armstrong
Avenue, Williamstown, for violating the terms of his probation,
a misdemeanor. Nolan was arrested at the office of Probation
Officer Hamilton and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 13 Jun 05 at 2:20 pm.
William Wesley Cassady II, age 26, 209 Poplar Lane, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Cassady
turned himself in to Sgt. Carr and was processed into the Washington
County Jail on 13 Jun 05 at 3:00 pm.
Amy Suzanne Farnsworth, age 19, 122 Harmar Street, Marietta,
for violating the terms of her probation, for two counts of
receiving stolen property, for two counts of operating without
a license, for two counts of failure to register, for possession
of drug paraphernalia and for breach of recognizance, all misdemeanors.
Farnsworth was picked up in Scioto Village by Deputy Sheriff
O’Brien and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 13 Jun 05 at 3:45 pm.
Brian Timothy Sawyer, age 25, 318 Ross Road, Little Hocking,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Sawyer
was arrested in Belpre by Lt. Huffer of the Washington County
Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 13 Jun 05 at 7:45 pm.
