On 11 Jun 05 while on patrol near 106 Lynnwood
Avenue, Marietta, Lt. Wilson observed a pickup truck back across
the roadway and strike a mailbox. When so inquired, Jennifer
L. Roush, age 19, 2217 Windy Ridge Road, Vincent, admitted
consuming alcohol earlier. Ms. Roush performed poorly on horizontal
gaze nystagmus tests, was arrested for OVI and transported
to the Washington County Jail.
On 11 Jun 05 while en route to Parkersburg
with his wife, Paul E. Rush, age 47, 818 Walter Drive, New
Martinsville, WV, saw under the St Marys bridge, a truck that
was stolen from PPG Industries three days prior. Deputy Sheriff
Mankins contacted the Marshall County (WV) Sheriff’s
Department, who is sending a wrecker to transport the truck
back to their county.
On 11 Jun 05 an employee of Par Mar #14, 66
Arrowhead Road, Little Hocking, reported witnessing a customer
leave the store without paying for two Phillies cigars. This
case remains under investigation (586).
On 11 Jun 05 Andrew R. Johnston, 12103 Rustic
Hill Drive, Bowie, MD, reported when he awoke at a friend’s
home at 2746 Vickers Road, Marietta, he noticed his stepfather’s
truck was missing. Upon further investigation Deputy Sheriff
Hall determined another guest at the home took the vehicle
without permission and drove home. The truck’s owner
declined to press charges.
On 11 Jun 05 Ernest R. Williams, age 61, 808
Franklin Avenue, Belpre, reported his cellular phone was stolen
from his vehicle while parked in the lot of Napoli’s
Pizza in Little Hocking around noon that day. This case remains
under investigation (1020).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Christopher Allen Reed, age 34, 571 Swift
Road, Waterford, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Reed
was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Kapple and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Jun 05 at 1:00
am.
Jennifer Lee Roush, age 19, 301 Devols Dam Road, Marietta,
for OVI, a misdemeanor. Roush was arrested on Front Street
in Marietta by Lt. Wilson of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11
Jun 05 at 5:40 am.
Douglas Edward Hill, age 24, 25751 Lake Road, Bay Village,
OH, for driving under an FRA suspended license and for speeding,
both misdemeanors. Hill was arrested on Interstate 77 by the
Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 11 Jun 05 at 7:48 pm.
Johnny Wayne Johnson, age 22, 202 ½ Sheldon Avenue,
Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, for driving
under an FRA suspended license, for failure to register and
for failure to signal, all misdemeanors. Johnson was arrested
on State Route 26 by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11
Jun 05 at 8:35 pm.
Darrell Lee Johnson, age 32, Marietta, for violating the terms
of his probation, a misdemeanor. Johnson was arrested on State
Route 26 by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 11 Jun 05 at 8:45 pm.
Douglas Edward Carpenter, age 22, Marietta, for failure to
appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor.
Carpenter was arrested on Fourth Street in Marietta by Sgt.
Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 11 Jun 05 at 10:01 pm.
