On 10 Jun 05 Deputy Sheriff Kapple answered
a domestic violence call at 571 Swift Road, Waterford. Janet
Reed, age 40, informed Deputy Kapple that when she returned
home from a night out with friends to celebrate her birthday,
her husband Christopher, age 34, engaged her in an argument.
Mr. Reed berated his wife while the two were on their home’s
front porch then head butted her in the forehead. Mr. Reed
denied his wife’s claim, but based on Deputy Kapple’s
investigation, was arrested for domestic violence and transported
to the Washington County Jail.
On 10 Jun 05 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes requested
a summons for a sixteen year old Marietta resident to appear
in Juvenile Court. Deputy Rhodes requested the summons after
finding a stolen pair of binoculars in the juvenile’s
bedroom.
On 10 Jun 05 Lt. Wilson conducted a traffic
stop near Speedway on Seventh Street after observing a Ford
Escort operating with a registration belonging to a Pontiac.
The driver, Robert L. Carpenter III, age 21, 100 Grand Avenue,
Marietta, admitted switching the license plates after selling
the Pontiac at an auction over a month ago. A canine unit assisted
at the scene and indicated the presence of drugs in the vehicle,
a fact supported by Mr. Carpenter’s admission there was
marijuana hidden in the steering wheel. Found in the pocket
of Mr. Carpenter was also a marijuana pipe constructed to appear
as a Zippo-style lighter. Charged with having a fictitious
registration, possession of marijuana and possession of drug
paraphernalia, Mr. Carpenter was arrested and transported to
the Washington County Jail.
On 10 Jun 05 Sherinda Atkinson, age 52, 1210
Burnett Road, Cutler, reported she believes a family member
may have stolen her collection of coins and bills, valued at
over $57. Ms. Atkinson declined to pursue the matter further
(1090).
On 10 Jun 05 Deputy Sheriff Eddy responded
to a domestic violence report at 1200 Muskingum River Road,
Marietta. Robert Harris, age 25, advised Deputy Eddy that his
wife Krystal, age 29, was angry with him that he went tubing
on the Muskingum River after he was drinking. Noticing from
the river that Mrs. Harris threw a metal pole through the rear
window of his vehicle, Mr. Harris beached his boat and again
began arguing with his wife. Mrs. Harris lied down in front
of the boat, impeding Mr. Harris from removing the boat and
had to be forcibly moved, during which time she repeatedly
scratched and hit her husband. Confirming Mr. Harris’ account
with witnesses, Deputy Eddy arrested Mrs. Harris for domestic
violence and transported her to the Washington County Jail.
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrants:
Aaron R. Carpenter, age 24, 270 Caywood Road,
Marietta, for the theft of over $5,000 worth of property on
13 May 05.
Michael A. Lightfritz, age 24, 270 Caywood Road, Marietta,
for the theft of over $5,000 worth of property on 13 May 05.
Michael B. Burkley, age 21, 3318 West Pleasant
Valley Road, Parma, OH, for violating the terms of his probation
by failing to show proof of completing forty-five hours of
community service as ordered by the court.
David Satterfield, age 38, 1201 County House Lane, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his community control, having been
convicted of theft.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Robert Lee Carpenter III, age 21, 100 Grand
Avenue, Marietta, for possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.
Carpenter was arrested at the intersection of Seventh and Greene
Street in Marietta by Lt. Wilson of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 10
Jun 05 at 5:55 am.
Edward Henry Krogman, age 48, Marietta, for
failure to register a change of address as a registered sex
offender, a misdemeanor. Krogman was picked up in Las Vegas
by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 10 Jun 05 at 3:30 pm.
Krystal Dawn Harris, age 29, 1200 Muskingum River Road, Marietta,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Harris was arrested on
Ferncliff Drive by Deputy Sheriff Eddy and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 10 Jun 05 at 10:30 pm.
