On 31 May 05 an employee of Warren High School,
130 Warrior Drive, Vincent, reported over Memorial Day weekend
an unknown suspect(s) shot out eleven dusk to dawn lamps with
a pellet-style air gun and knocked over a portable toilet near
the baseball fields. This case remains under investigation
(200).
On 31 May 05 Johnette S. Nicholson, age 32,
12270 State Route 60, Lowell, reported sometime during the
past four weeks an unknown suspect(s) damaged a corn field
off East Branch Road by driving an ATV and a truck through
it. This case remains under investigation (695).
On 31 May 05 Deputy Sheriff Gherke investigated
a report made on behalf of a sixty-two year old Belpre woman
that over the course of several days an unknown suspect(s)
stole forty dollars in cash and two Vicodin tablets. This case
remains under investigation.
WASHINGTON COUNTY DRUG TEAM ARRESTS
ONE AFTER PURCHASING FIVE POUNDS OF MARIJUANA
During March 05 the Washington County Drug
Team began an investigation into the trafficking of substantial
quantities of marijuana into Washington County by Paul
J. Keaser (click for photo), age
27, 187 Essex Road, Newark, OH. A confidential informant from
Washington County arranged to purchase several pounds of marijuana
from Keaser in Zanesville for transportion to and resale in
Washington County. Two deals involving one pound of marijuana
and one deal involving three pounds were consummated. These
transactions were all arranged from a location in Marietta.
Keaser was arrested in Zanesville by the Newark and Zanesville
Drug Task Forces and the Washington County Drug Team. On 27
May 05 the Marietta City Police Department transported Keaser
to the Washington County Jail where he posted a $15,000 bond
for trafficking in marijuana. A preliminary hearing has been
set for June 1, 2005 at 3:30 p.m. The Washington County Drug
Team is composed of the Washington County Prosecuting Attorney’s
Office, Marietta and Belpre Police Departments, the Bureau
of Criminal Investigation and Idenfification and the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office. Any further inquires should

Office received the following warrants:
Daniel E. Christopher, age 29, 975 Mount Tom
Road, Marietta, for violating the terms of an anti-stalking
protection order on 9 May 05 and for failing to appear for
a probation violation hearing on 18 May 05.
Patrick A. Brannan, age 43, 50 Railroad Street, Whipple, for
breach of recognizance on 3 Mar 05 and for failing to appear
for trial on 20 May 05.
Benjamin R. Coffman, age 28, 345 Hoover Road, Vincent, for
contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on
unpaid fines in the sum of $162.50.
Mary K. McDavid, age 36, 4156 Evermans Creek, Grayson, KY,
for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines in the sum of $305.50.
Dewayne D. Wright, age 18, 2504 Praire Street, Detroit, MI,
for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines in the sum of $403.
John Neverez, age 32, 776 North Dawson Road, Columbus, for
contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on
unpaid fines in the sum of $390.
Susan M. Rogers, age 33, 884 Luke Chute Road, Waterford, for
contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on
unpaid fines in the sum of $156.
The following individual
was processed into the Washington County Jail:
Patrick Alan Brannan, age 43, Gates Green
Apartments #B2, Marietta, for felony charges of OVI and failure
to appear as well as misdemeanor charges of speeding and breach
of recognizance. Brannan was arrested in Marietta Municipal
Court by Patrolman Ellenwood of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 31 May 05
at 11:30 am.
