On 29 May 05 Corrections Officers at the Washington
County Jail responded to a brawl in progress in D Dorm. When
the officers arrived, Leroy J. Clark, age 30, 943 State Route
821, Marietta, and David A. Lincoln, age 21, 729 Ninth Street,
Marietta, were squared off against each other, both with minor
injuries to the head and neck. Unable to validate statements
by both parties and numerous witnesses, Corrections Officer
Farrell requested summonses for Mr. Lincoln and for Mr. Clark
for disorderly conduct by fighting.
On 29 May 05 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes conducted
a traffic stop on Fifteenmile Creek Road on a vehicle with
an inoperable taillight. After contacting the driver, Ashley
K. Kidd, age 22, 1275 Laurel Ridge Road, Lowell, Deputy Rhodes
requested the presence of the K-9 Unit to search for the
presence of drugs outside the vehicle. Succeeding a positive
indication,
Deputy Rhodes found a bottle containing Percocet in Ms. Kidd’s
purse as well as on the person of her passenger, Jeff R.
Voycik, age 22, 1206A County House Lane, Marietta. Charged
with possession
of a Schedule II substance, the two were then transported
to the Washington County Jail.
On 29 May 05 Pam Novak, age 48, 1814 Eleventh
Street NE, Massillon, OH, reported since last visiting the
Landings Campground one week prior, an unknown suspect(s) stole
six Alpine speakers, skis and a number of CD’s from her
boat. This case remains under investigation (1203).
On 29 May 05 Deputy Sheriff Evans was dispatched
to the home of Steve Sturm, age 52, 26870 State Route 7, Marietta,
in response to dispute between neighbors. When Mr. Sturm inquired
his neighbor Barry Allen, age 49, 26780 State Route 7, Marietta,
why he allowed his dogs to frequently enter his property, Mr.
Allen began swearing and grabbed him by the neck, at which
time Mr. Sturm began swearing. Hearing the commotion, Andrew
Allen, age 24, 1208 County House Lane, Marietta, descended
upon the scene and attempted to initiate a fight with Mr. Sturm
before the parties disbanded. As a result, Deputy Evans requested
summonses for each individual for disorderly conduct.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Dustin Lee Brooks, age 18, 803 ½ Virginia
Street, Beverly, for reckless operation and for driving under
an FRA suspended license, both misdemeanors. Brooks was arrested
in Beverly by the Beverly Police Department and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 29 May 05 at 1:33 am.
Ashley Nicole Kidd, age 22, 1275 Laurel Ridge Road, Lowell,
for possession of drugs, a felony. Kidd was arrested on State
Route 26 by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 29 May 05 at 3:42 am.
Jeffry Ryan Voycik, age 22, 1206 County House Lane, Marietta,
for possession of drugs, a felony. Voycik was arrested on State
Route 26 by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 29 May 05 at 4:23 am.
Anita Carol Kimble, age 35, 16635 State Route 339, Dexter
City, for passing bad checks, a misdemeanor. Kimble was arrested
on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 29 May 05 at 10:00 pm.
Aaron Freeman Farnsworth, age 20, 122 Harmar Street, Marietta,
for underage consumption of alcohol, a misdemeanor. Farnsworth
was arrested on Franklin Street in Marietta by Patrolman Chapman
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 29 May 05 at 10:10 pm.
Dallas Wiley Farnsworth, age 31, 266 Muskingum Drive, Marietta,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Farnsworth was arrested on Franklin Street
in Marietta by Patrolman Warden of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
29 May 05 at 10:10 pm.
