On 28 May 05 Deputy Sheriff Kapple responded
to the scene of the death of a seventy-one year old Vincent
resident. Death appears to be due to natural causes, no foul
play is suspected.
On 28 May 05 Carla J. Mayle, age 47, 7 Sixth
Street, Belpre, reported the front and rear license plates
were stolen off her Buick while she worked at the Station Carryout
that afternoon. This case remains under investigation (200).
On 28 May 05 Philip W. Kinney, age 49, 2315
Blue Knob Road, Belpre, reported when his daughter’s
boyfriend allegedly left some of his electronic equipment outside
for him to pick up, the electronics were damaged by rain. This
case remains under investigation (597).
On 28 May 05 Deputy Sheriff Evans investigated
a domestic dispute reported by Kyla J. Science, age 21, 2565
Plum Run Road, Waterford. Ms. Science stated while she was
at her mother’s residence her live-in boyfriend Joshua
J. Farmer, age 24, arrived, agitated that she stayed out all
night and began making derogatory comments. Mr. Farmer then
grabbed her by the hair, tearing a large portion out, and slapped
her in the face. When questioned, Mr. Farmer admitted assaulting
Ms. Science and therefore arrested for domestic violence and
transported to the Washington County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Timothy James Newbrough, age 21, 517 Smith
Street, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered
hearing on unpaid fines and for possession of drugs, both misdemeanors.
Newbrough was arrested on Second Street in Marietta by Patrolman
Wenzel of the Marietta City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 28 May 05 at 3:05 am.
Jeremy Todd Wheeler, age 27, 910 Charles Street Apt. A, Parkersburg,
for OVI and for attempted failure to comply, both misdemeanors.
Wheeler was arrested in Marietta by the Ohio State Highway
Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28
May 05 at 4:41 am.
Ronald Lee Stevens, age 35, 280 Leo Sams Lane, Chesterhill,
for a felony charge of trafficking in drugs and a misdemeanor
charge of obstructing official business. Stevens was arrested
on Third Street in Marietta by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 28 May 05 at 5:53 am.
Joshua John Farmer, age 24, 2565 Plum Run Road, Waterford,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Farmer was arrested on
Fourth Street in Beverly by Deputy Sheriff Evans and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 28 May 05 at 12:10 pm.
Susan Raye Harvey, age 31, 11722 State Route 555, Cutler,
for violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor. Harvey
was arrested in Cutler by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 28 May 05 at 5:15 pm.
Orville Brent May, age 20, Pennock Drive Lot 61, Beverly,
for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor. May was
arrested in Beverly by Patrolman Oliver of the Beverly Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
28 May 05 at 8:35 pm.
James Robert Rodes, age 26, Route 1 Box 11B, Belleville, WV,
for operating without a license, a misdemeanor. Rodes was arrested
on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 28 May 05 at 10:35 pm.
