On 27 May 05 Casey J. Hambel, age 22, 2771E
Hopple Ridge Road, McConnelsville, reported when he entered
his mother’s garage at 1485 State Route 83, Beverly,
since visiting two weeks prior, he noticed a number of parts
belonging to a 1971 Chevelle were stolen. This case remains
under investigation (296).
On 27 May 05 Deputy Sheriff Mankins initiated
a traffic stop at milepost twenty on State Route 60 after observing
a vehicle operating with only one functional headlight. Noticing
an odor of alcohol on the driver, Adam Prunty, age 27, 166
Sheridan Street, Marietta, Deputy Mankins requested he submit
to field sobriety tests on which he performed poorly. Based
on his observations, Deputy Mankins arrested Mr. Prunty for
OVI and transported him to the Washington County Jail. While
at the jail a Corrections Officer located a pipe and baggie
of marijuana on Mr. Prunty’s person resulting in additional
charges of possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.
On 27 May 05 Deputy Sheriff Parks responded
to the scene of the death of a forty-three year old Marietta
resident. Though the circumstances surrounding the death do
not seem suspicious, this case remains under investigation.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Steven Eric Loy, age 28, Route 2 Box 218,
New Martinsville, WV, for OVI, for failure to reinstate his
operator’s license and for driving outside the marked
lanes of travel, all misdemeanors. Loy was arrested on State
Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 27 May 05 at 1:20 am.
Charles Rex Dupre, age 41, 31 River Road, Waterford, for disorderly
conduct, a misdemeanor. Dupre was arrested in Beverly by Patrolman
Oliver of the Marietta City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 27 May 05 at 2:15 am.
Dennis Mathew Stacy, age 36, for violating the terms of his
parole, a felony. Stacy was arrested at the McDonald’s
on Glendale by Patrolman Gragan of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
27 May 05 at 8:25 am.
Fannie Sarah Kovacs, age 24, 735 Eighth Street Apt. 1, Marietta,
for violating the terms of her probation and for breach of
recognizance, both felonies. Kovacs was arrested at the Greyhound
station by Probation Officer Smith and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 27 May 05 at 11:35 am.
Paul James Keaser, age 27, 187 Essex Avenue, Newark, OH, for
trafficking in drugs, a felony. Keaser was picked up in Licking
County by Patrolman Walters of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 May 05
at 3:50 pm.
Timothy Roscoe Bonner, age 43, 151 20th Street SE, Massillon,
OH, for .17 breath OVI, for driving under an FRA suspended
license, for not wearing a seat belt and for not having license
plates, all misdemeanors. Bonner was arrested on Interstate
77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 27 May 05 at 5:35 pm.
Jeremy Shane Boothby, age 21, 355 Brackenridge Road, Vincent,
for two counts of underage consumption of alcohol and for breach
of recognizance, all misdemeanors. Boothby was arrested at
Marietta College by Deputy Sheriff Evans and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 27 May 05 at 7:40 pm.
Adam Lee Prunty, age 27, 116 Sheridan Street, Marietta, for
OVI, for possession of drugs and for possession of drug paraphernalia,
all misdemeanors. Prunty was arrested in Beverly by Deputy
Sheriff Mankins and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 27 May 05 at 10:10 pm.
Tracey Lynne Shope, age 35, 1806 Main Street, Oak Hill, WV,
for operating without a license, for speeding, for possession
of drugs and for possession of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors.
Shope was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway
Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27
May 05 at 10:10 pm.=
