On 19 May 05 Deputy Sheriff Parks conducted
a traffic stop after observing the vehicle he was following
travel left of the centerline on to occasions and completely
into the opposite lane when turning from State Route 7 onto
County Road 47. Speaking with the driver, Deputy Parks noted
William H. Thomas, age 35, 108 Theis Avenue Apt. 7, Marietta,
had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred his speech. Agreeing
to perform field sobriety tests, Mr. Thomas could not follow
directions and failed to complete any task successfully. Mr.
Thomas admitted consuming alcohol earlier in the evening and
when Deputy Parks found a marijuana pipe in his possession,
also admitted smoking marijuana that evening. Charged with
OVI, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving left of center,
Deputy Parks transported Mr. Thomas to the Washington County
Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Randy Eugene Johnson, age 25, 397 Turkey Hollow
Road, Cutler, for burglary, a felony. Johnson was arrested
at his residence by Detective Sirianni of the Washington County
Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 19 May 05 at 12:10 am.
William Henry Thomas, age 35, 108 Theis Avenue Apt. 7,Marietta,
for OVI, for possession of drug paraphernalia and for driving
left of center, all misdemeanors. Thomas was arrested on State
Route 7 by Deputy Sheriff Parks and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 19 May 05 at 3:45 am.
Casey Lee Hoover, age 19, 228 Pike Street
Apt. 6, Marietta, for a felony charge of unlawful sexual conduct
with a minor and a misdemeanor charge of failure to appear.
Hoover turned himself in at the Sheriff’s Office to Deputy
Sheriff Stackpole and was processed into the Washington County
Jail on 19 May 05 at 9:30 am.
Leonard Michael Goss, age 52, 3737 Salem Road, Burbank, OH,
for a felony and a misdemeanor charge of passing bad checks.
Goss was picked up in Lorain County by Deputy Sheriff Underwood
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 May 05
at 5:15 pm.
