On 15 May 05 Deputy Sheriff Evans responded
to the scene of the death of a sixty-three year old Marietta
man. The death appears to be due to natural causes, no foul
play is suspected.
On 15 May 05 while on patrol on Front Street,
Deputy Sheriff Parks observed two male subjects outside the
Double L making aggressive movements toward each other as to
engage in a fight. After Deputy Parks intervened one male dispersed
while Bryan P. Hryb, age 22, 701 Putnam Street Apt. 9, Marietta,
intoxicated, sat down and refused to obey his commands. Feeling
Mr. Hryb may be in danger due to his intoxicated state, Deputy
Parks arrested Mr. Hryb for disorderly conduct by intoxication
and transported him to the Washington County Jail.
On 15 May 05 Raymond M. Buttie, age 42, 1218
Williamson Avenue, New Matamoras, reported when he returned
to his residence after being away for five days, his landlord
informed him that his ex-girlfriend may have been staying at
his residence, a violation of a temporary protection order.
This case remains under investigation (205).
On 15 May 05 Deputy Sheriff Malone responded
to the scene of death of a thirty year old Stockport man. The
cause of death appears to be self inflicted, no foul play is
suspected.
On 15 May 05 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes initiated
a traffic stop on a vehicle with an inoperable license plate
light near milepost twenty-one on State Route 339. In speaking
with the driver, Crystal D. Hoover, age 23, 515 Halcyon Avenue,
McConnelsville, Deputy Rhodes noticed an odor of alcohol and
an open twelve pack of beer between the two back seat occupants.
Ms. Hoover submitted to field sobriety tests with poor results
and was charged with OVI and having a faulty license plate
light. When questioned over the inadequately hidden, partially
consumed beer in the vehicle, the three passengers Taquila
Dawn Myers, age 21, 1002 Echo Street, Malta, OH, Derek Matthew
Pierce, age 30, 4895 State Route 555, Chesterhill, and Joseph
Allen Wentland III, age 21, 1002 Echo Street, Malta, all admitted
consuming in the vehicle and accordingly charged with consuming
alcohol in a motor vehicle. The four were then transported
to the Washington County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Crystal Dawn Hoover, age 23, 515 Halcyon Avenue,
McConnelsville, for .08 breath OVI and for having a faulty
license plate light, both misdemeanors. Hoover was arrested
in Beverly by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 15 May 05 at 2:27 am.
Bryan Paul Hryb, age 22, 701 Front Street Apt. 9, Marietta,
for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Hryb
was arrested on Front Street in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff
Parks and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 May
05 at 2:40 am.
Taquila Dawn Myers, age 21, 1002 Echo Street, Malta, OH, for
consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor. Myers
was arrested in Beverly by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 15 May 05 at 2:57 am.
Derek Matthew Pierce, age 30, 4895 State Route 555, Chesterhill,
for consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor. Pierce
was arrested in Beverly by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 15 May 05 at 3:20 am.
Joseph Allen Wentland, age 21, 1002 Echo Street, Malta, OH,
for consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor. Wentland
was arrested in Beverly by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 15 May 05 at 3:36 am.
