On 14 May 05 an employee of Connell’s
Pizza, 904 Warrior Drive, Vincent, reported around 7 pm that
evening the driver of a maroon Ford Excursion backed into a
sign in the parking lot and left the scene without notifying
the business. This incident remains under investigation (945).
On 14 May 05 an employee of the adult video
store at 19560 State Route 821, Macksburg, reported at 10:50
that evening the driver of a turquoise Ford F-150 struck the
southeastern side of the building, tearing a six foot section
of the wall loose then fleeing the scene. This incident remains
under investigation (500).
On 14 May 05 while patrol in Marietta, Deputy
Sheriff Rhodes observed an individual whom he recognized from
prior criminal investigations driving on Washington Street.
Learning she was driving under a suspended license and that
she has an outstanding warrant, Deputy Rhodes stopped and arrested
Shannon M. Lang, age 24, 533 Second Street Apt. 2, Marietta,
and transported her to the Washington County Jail.
On 14 May 05 Deputy Sheriff Mankins conducted
a traffic stop on Waterford Road near Plum Run Road after observing
a vehicle operating without a front license plate. Detecting
an odor of alcohol as he spoke with the driver, Zachary V.
Smith, age 20, 1291 McNeal Street, Waterford, and the passenger,
Danielle R. Huck, age 18, 3125 Righteous Ridge Road, Waterford,
Deputy Mankins administered a field sobriety test on which
Mr. Smith performed poorly. Based on his observations Deputy
Mankins arrested Mr. Smith for OVI and for underage consumption
of alcohol. Being that Ms. Huck is also under age, Deputy Mankins
charged her with underage consumption of alcohol and along
with Mr. Smith, transported them to the Washington County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Thomas William Gaughan, age 18, 790 Dodge
Run Road, Marietta, for selling alcohol to an underage individual,
a misdemeanor. Gaughan was arrested on Pike Street in Marietta
by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 May 05
at 2:01 am.
Shannon Marie Lang, age 24, 120 Howard Street, Marietta, for
driving under a suspended license and for forgery, both misdemeanors.
Lang was arrested on Second Street by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 May 05
at 8:00 pm.
Danielle Ray Huck, age 18, 3125 Righteous Ridge Road, Waterford,
for underage consumption of alcohol, a misdemeanor. Huck was
arrested on Plum Run Road in Waterford by Deputy Sheriff Mankins
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 May 05
at 8:17 pm.
Zachary Vernon Smith, age 20, 1291 McNeil Road, Waterford,
for underage consumption of alcohol and for .08 breath OVI,
both misdemeanors. Smith was arrested on Plum Run Road in Waterford
by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 14 May 05 at 8:36 pm.
