On 13 May 05 Lt. Wilson issued a citation
to Aneysa D. Dearth, age 25, 20 Walnut Lane, Belpre, for traveling
73 mph in a 55 mph zone. Lt. Wilson stopped Ms. Dearth on State
Route 7 near County Road 3 in Warren Township.
On 13 May 05 Donata Rechnitzer, age 43, 147
Hillcrest Drive, Little Hocking, reported when she returned
home from work that evening she noticed a basket containing
approximately fifty dollars in change was missing from her
home. Upon further inspection she determined two muzzleloaders,
an antique shotgun, two compound bows, three shotguns and two
laptop computers missing from the home. This case remains under
investigation (292).
On 13 May 05 Deputy Sheriff Parks investigated
a two vehicle collision in the Dunham Square parking lot. As
Steven W. Rush, age 18, 1770 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, backed
his Lincoln Town Car from his parking spot he struck the rear
of a Chevy S-10 owned by William P. Duvall, 6775 State Route
339, Vincent. Damage to both vehicles was minimal; seeing that
Mr. Rush’s temporary permit was expired, Deputy Parks
issued Mr. Rush a citation for operating without a license.
On 13 May 05 Teresa L. Dye, age 39, 600 Main
Street, New Matamoras, reported at some point during the previous
evening, an unknown suspect(s) scratched her Dodge truck and
her neighbor’s Toyota Corolla. This case remains under
investigation (1203).
On 13 May 05 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes was dispatched
to the scene of a deer-vehicle collision on State Route 60,
.1 miles south of Coal Run Road. A Ford Ranger driven by Darrell
L. Goodwill, age 32, 414 Fifth Street, Lowell, sustained heavy
damage, no injuries were reported.
On 13 May 05 Christine Wainwright, age 56,
201 Stevens Road, Waterford, reported as she drove along State
Route 339 near milepost 2.2 she observed chunks of concrete,
carpet and trash dumped along the roadway. This case remains
under investigation (232).
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrants:
Don E. Groghan, age 34, 1469 Coal Run Road,
Marietta, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered
hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $84.50.
Amy E. Roser, age 28, 728 ½ Third Street, Marietta,
for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines in the sum of $310.80.
William L. Rowan, age 42, 5109 State Route 555, Little Hocking,
for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines in the sum of $277.
Danny D. Simons, age 31, 312 Jackson Avenue, Cuyahoga Falls,
for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines in the sum of $236.60.
Willis V. Thompson, age 28, 26930 State Route 7, Reno, for
contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on
unpaid fines in the sum of $936.
The following
individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Robert Alen Nickols, age 27, 25780 Main Street,
Coolville, for failure to register a change of address as a
registered sex offender, a felony. Nickols was arrested in
Coolville by Detective Johnson of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13
May 05 at 9:50 am.
Shane Franklin Carpenter, age 33, 1308 Williamson Avenue Apt.
5F, New Matamoras, for failure to appear at a court ordered
hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Carpenter was arrested
near Willow Island on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway
Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13
May 05 at 11:20 am.
William Tim Belville, age 51, 207 Sixth Street, Marietta,
for falsification, for possession of drugs and of drug paraphernalia,
all misdemeanors. Belville was arrested at the Four Seasons
by Patrolman Hively of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 May 05
at 11:40 am.
Herman Robert Bowman, age 69, 126 Franklin Street, Marietta,
for rape, a felony. Bowman was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman
Hawkins of the Marietta City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 13 May 05 at 12:55 pm.
David Michael Ewing, age 21, 403 Woodbridge Drive, Charleston,
for underage consumption of alcohol, a misdemeanor. Ewing was
arrested at Marietta College by Deputy Sheriff Evans and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 13 May 05 at 2:15 pm.
Terri Margaret Goss, age 38, 819 Ridge Street, Marietta, for
domestic violence, a felony. Goss was arrested at her residence
by Patrolman Titus of the Marietta City Police Department and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 May 05 at 11:28
pm.
