On 9 May 05 while on patrol at 12:40 am, Deputy Sheriff Mankins encountered a vehicle at Lane’s Farm Campground in Lawrence Township. When Deputy Mankins identified the male and female passengers he also determined that since the male passenger, Daniel E. Christopher, age 29, 975 Mount Tom Road, Marietta, was with Stacy M. Christopher, age 22, 905 Cisler Lane, Marietta, he was in violation of a protection order. Allowing Mr. Christopher to first use the restroom, he then fled on foot from Deputy Mankins. Consequently, Deputy Mankins requested a warrant for Mr. Christopher for violating the terms of a protection order.

On 9 May 05 Linda L. Miller, age 53, 8377 State Route 144, Stewart, reported the individual to whom she sold a Lincoln Town Car for $1,350 on 1 May 05, allegedly stopped payment on the check he wrote for purchase of the vehicle. This case remains under investigation (1203).

On 9 May 05 Jeffrey J. Nelson, age 48, 540 King Avenue, Cutler, reported while he was away for work between 4 am and 6:45 pm, his Suzuki ATV was stolen from his driveway. This case remains under investigation (232).

the Sheriff’s Office received the following warrants:

Jonathan P. Angus, age 23, 350 Whealdon Road, Cutler, for violating the terms of his probation by being arrested in Athens, OH.

Dale D. Goddard, age 39, 126 Wells Street, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation by failing to appear for a scheduled appointment and for failing to show proof of making restitution payments.

Denver D. McCoy, age 50, 1421 Lancaster Street Apt. 102D, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication on 19 Apr 05 and for breach of recognizance for failing to appear for arraignment on 29 Apr 05.
