On 7 May 05 Deputy Sheriff Mankins initiated
a traffic stop after observing a vehicle travel left of center
on Caywood Road near Killwell Road. Noticing an odor of alcohol
emanating from the vehicle, Deputy Mankins observed a bottle
of beer spilling at the feet of Derek W. Moore, age 20, 1827
Barth Road, Belpre. When questioned, Mr. Moore admitted consuming
alcohol in the vehicle while his nineteen year old girlfriend
drove him around. As a result, Deputy Mankins arrested Mr.
Moore for underage consumption of alcohol and for consuming
alcohol in a motor vehicle and transported him to the Washington
County Jail.
On 7 May 05 Deputy Sheriff Simmons responded
to the scene of a domestic altercation at 47A Williamson Avenue
in New Matamoras. Cindy Hendershot, age 44, stated her husband
Donald, age 43, arrived home intoxicated and after a short
confrontation over the phone, a fracas ensued. Throwing his
wife to the floor, Mr. Hendershot choked his wife and attempted
to punch her before she struggled free. Based on his investigation,
Deputy Simmons arrested Mr. Hendershot for domestic violence
and transported him to the Washington County Jail.
On 7 May 05 Deputy Sheriff Evans issued a
citation to Corey A. Dentler, age 19, 315 37th Street, Canton,
OH, for traveling 75 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Evans stopped
Mr. Dentler on State Route 7 near Blue Knob Road in Warren
Township.
On 7 May 05 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued
a citation to David N. Fankhauser, age 18, 318 Fairview Lane,
Marietta, for traveling left of center. Deputy Mankins stopped
Mr. Fankhauser on the 300 block of Lancaster Street.
On 7 May 05 Allan Osborne, 517 Alma Omega
Road, Waverly, OH, reported at some point during the past two
days an unknown suspect(s) forcible entered his company’s
construction trailer on Devol’s Dam Road and stole two
drills, a set of keys, a microwave, a fax machine, a cordless
phone and an AM/FM CD player. This case remains under investigation
(296).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Derek Wayne Moore, age 20, 1827 Barth Road,
Belpre, for underage consumption of alcohol and for consuming
alcohol in a motor vehicle, both misdemeanors. Moore was arrested
on Killwell Run Road by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 7 May 05 at 1:00 am.
Brian Russell Morgan, age 22, 728 ½ Fifth Street, Marietta,
for a felony charge of violating the terms of his parole and
for misdemeanor charges of obstructing official business and
for disorderly conduct by intoxication. Morgan was arrested
at the Locker Room by Probation Officer Gault and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 7 May 05 at 1:45 am.
Juan Jose Castro, age 22, 14 Oaktree Lane Apt. 14F, Marietta,
for .08 breath OVI and for driving left of center, both misdemeanors.
Castro was arrested on Colegate Drive by Patrolman Sury of
the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 7 May 05 at 6:00 am.
Andrea Nicole Robinson, age 19, 1915 Wynncrest Drive, Marietta,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Robinson was arrested at her residence
by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 May 05 at
2:45 pm.
Matthew Richard Jett, age 20, 209 Fifth Street Ext., Lowell,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Jett turned himself in to Sgt. Hiatt
at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 7 May 05 at 4:45 pm.
Florizel W. Woodford, age 53, Marietta, for breach of recognizance
and for aggravated menacing, both misdemeanors. Woodford was
picked up in Summit County by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 May 05 at 5:25
pm.
Donald Gene Henderson Jr., age 43, 47 Williamson Avenue Apt.
A, Williamstown, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Henderson
was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Simmons and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 May 05 at 11:00
pm.
