On 3 May 05 Deputy Sheriff Simmons investigated
a complaint at 518 ½ Main Street, New Matamoras, concerning
an intoxicated subject attempting to gain entry into the residence.
After confronting the male, who searched in vain for a former
girlfriend at the address, Ricky K. Mullins, age 20, retreated
to the second floor balcony of his home at which time he produced
a shotgun and fired a shot in the air, across the river. As
a result of Mr. Mullins’ actions Deputy Simmons requested
a summons for him for discharging a firearm over a public roadway.
On 3 May 05 Deputy Sheriff Malone requested
a summonses for Matt Wires, age 21, 1645 Calder Ridge Road,
Belpre, for Devan Haynes, age 19, 15 Walnut Street, Belpre,
and for Scott Sims, age 20, 2202 Ames Avenue, Belpre, for the
theft of five vehicle parts to a Mitsubishi Eclipse from Hilltop
Auto Wrecking on 2 May 05.
On 3 May 05 Deputy Sheriff Coppernoll issued
a citation to Jason L. Bartimus, age 29, 1576 Elizabeth Street,
Belpre, for driving under a suspended license and for failing
to stop at a stop sign. Deputy Coppernoll stopped Mr. Bartimus
after he observed him fail to stop when turning from Turkey
Hollow Road onto Welch Road in Decatur Township.
On 3 May 05 Bridgett K. Ryan, age 18, 115
Byers Road, Marietta, reported when she entered her Chevy Cavalier
that morning she noticed her Clarion CD payer, her six hundred
watt amplifier and fifteen inch subwoofer had been stolen.
This case remains under investigation (1071).
On 3 May 05 Pamela Clatterbuck, age 37, 976
State Route 555, Little Hocking, reported a Ford Taurus she
intended to donate to the Little Hocking Volunteer Fire Department
was stolen from her home that afternoon. This case remains
under investigation (500).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Jeffrey Allen Rupnik, age 39, 1230 Dundee
Avenue, Akron, for OVI, a felony. Rupnik was arrested on Pike
Street in Marietta by Patrolman Titus of the Belpre City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
3 May 05 at 1:15 am.
William Arthur Murphy, age 33, 208 Maple Street, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Murphy
was arrested at Speedway on Seventh Street in Marietta by Patrolman
Sury of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 3 May 05 at 2:10 am.
Ryan O’Neil Nichols, age 28, 341 Tadpole
Run Road, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor.
Nichols was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Hamilton
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 May 05 at
4:25 pm.
Matthew Scott Appelman, age 20, 67 Spears Street UVM 185,
Burlington, VT, for driving under a suspended license and for
speeding, both misdemeanors. Appelman was arrested on State
Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 3 May 05 at 11:00 pm.
