On 22 Apr 05 Deputy Sheriff Evans was dispatched
to the Best Value Inn to meet with Tonya Miller, age 33, 9645
State Route 821, Lower Salem, in reference to a domestic dispute
that occurred at her residence that morning. Ms. Miller stated
while she sat on the bathroom floor to apply her makeup her
husband Christopher, age 36, threatened to kick her in the
face and that he would kill her if she cheated on him. Determining
Ms. Miller was in fear for her safety, Deputy Evans arrested
Mr. Miller for domestic violence and transported him to the
Washington County Jail.
On 22 Apr 05 Mary E. Francis, age 42, 761
Mount Tom Road, Marietta, reported for the past two days a
person against whom she has a protection order continues to
place harassing phone calls to her. Once Deputy Sheriff Parks
confirmed the origin of the calls and identified the caller,
he arrested Richard D. Bay, age 37, 301 Oakwood Avenue, Marietta,
for violating the terms of a protection order and transported
him to the Washington County Jail.
On 22 Apr 05 Deputy Sheriff Evans initiated
a traffic stop near the Pit Stop on State Route 821 after observing
a vehicle turn without using its turn signal. Interviewing
the driver, Deputy Evans noticed Thomas J. Reischman, age 56,
200 Walnut Street, Whipple, had bloodshot eyes and an odor
of alcohol. Succeeding his poor performance on field sobriety
tests, Deputy Evans arrested Mr. Reischman for OVI and for
not using a turn signal and transported him to the Washington
County Jail.
On 22 Apr 05 Deputy Sheriff Spencer issued
minor misdemeanor citations for underage possession of tobacco
to two students at the Washington County Career Center. Noticing
suspicious behavior on the part of a seventeen year old male
and female, the assistant principal found the tobacco during
a search of the two students.
On 22 Apr 05 Lt. Canavan issued a citation
to Deidre L. Cain, age 23, 628 Mitchell Avenue Apt. A, Beverly,
for failing to stop at a red light. Lt. Canavan stopped Ms.
Cain at milepost 25 on State Route 7 in Marietta Township.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Richard Dyle Bay, age 37, 301 Oakwood Avenue,
Marietta, for two misdemeanor counts of violating the terms
of a protection order. Bay was arrested on Broughton Avenue
in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff Parks and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 22 Apr 05 at 12:20 pm.
Robert Thomas Lanese III, age 19, 4510 Fruitland Drive, Parma,
OH, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor.
Lanese was picked up in Broadview Heights by Deputy Sheriff
Underwood and processed into the Washington County Jail on
22 Apr 05 at 7:17 pm.
Thomas Joe Reischman, age 56, 200 Walnut Street, Whipple,
for failure to signal and for OVI, both misdemeanors. Reischman
was arrested at the Pit Stop by Deputy Sheriff Evans and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 22 Apr 05 at 10:51 pm.
