On 21 Apr 05 the owner of Dick’s Auto
Sales, 280 Goose Run Road, Marietta, reported while he left
his business in the charge of an employee the afternoon before,
two females distracted the employee and stole a check from
the business office. This case remains under investigation
(292).
On 21 Apr 05 Deputy Sheriff Simmons began
an investigation into the theft of items from seven vehicles
in the New Matamoras area. Stolen property includes a compound
bow, CD’s, a portable television, a watch, a cooler and
wallet from vehicles parked at 3585, 2710 and 3360 State Route
260. This case remains under investigation.
On 21 Apr 05 Mary E. Francis, age 42, 761
Mount Tom Road, Marietta, reported earlier that evening she
received a phone call from an acquaintance allegedly at the
behest of an individual against whom she has a protection order,
which is a violation of the terms of the order. This case remains
under investigation (1203).
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrant:
David W. Wriston, age 20, 687 Wynncrest Drive,
Marietta, for failing to appear to serve ten days in jail on
18 Apr 05.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Joshuah Allen Morris, age 26, 37301 Seventh
Avenue, Sardis, OH, for failure to appear at a court ordered
hearing on unpaid fines and for operating without a license,
both misdemeanors. Morris was arrested on Front Street in Marietta
by Patrolman Titus of the Marietta City Police Department and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Apr 05 at 3:57
pm.
Tracy Jo Barnes, age 25, 212 Pennsylvania Avenue Apt. 14,
Marietta, for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor.
Barnes was arrested on State Route 550 by the Ohio State Highway
Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21
Apr 05 at 8:40 pm.
