On 19 Apr 05 Carol Sears, age 48, 108 Tennis
Center Drive, Marietta, reported a family member allegedly
threatened her with bodily harm following an argument over
the fact that she spent a sum of money at a gambling establishment
in Williamstown. This case remains under investigation (792,
905, 1091).
On 19 Apr 05 Deputy Sheriff Mankins initiated
a traffic stop near mile post eleven on State Route 7 after
receiving reports of a driver operating erratically. Deputy
Mankins questioned the sixteen year old driver and noted his
disoriented state. The driver admitted taking eight Coricidin
tablets, the normal dose of which is two, and performed poorly
on field sobriety tests. The juvenile was released to the custody
of his parents and ordered to appear in Juvenile Court for
being delinquent.
On 19 Apr 05 an attorney with the local Public
Defender’s Office reported receiving a threatening letter
from a former client who is currently in prison. This case
remains under investigation (1291).

Office received the following warrant:
Anthony R. Larrison, age 23, 38 Putnam Place,
Marietta, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered
hearing on an order to show cause on 4 Apr 05.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Vickie Marie Thompson, age 22, 111 Harmar
Street, Marietta, for OVI, for driving under an FRA suspended
license, for not wearing a seat belt and for the unauthorized
use of a motor vehicle, all misdemeanors. Thompson was arrested
on Front Street in Marietta by the Ohio State Highway Patrol
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Apr 05
at 2:00 am.
Terrel Coy Davis, age 20, 706 Mary Street, Belpre, for OVI,
for driving under an OVI suspended license and for driving
outside the marked lanes of travel, all misdemeanors. Davis
was arrested on Braun Road in Belpre by Patrolman Morris of
the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 19 Apr 05 at 2:54 am.
Denver Drew McCoy, age 50, 729 Eighth Street, Marietta, for
disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. McCoy was
arrested on Putnam Street in Marietta by the Ohio State Highway
Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19
Apr 05 at 4:15 am.
Kraig Evan Brand, age 46, 43139 Krieg Ridge
Road, New Matamoras, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor.
Brand was picked up in Monroe County by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Apr 05
at 10:45 am.
Catherine Wiersma Morris, age 39, 312 ½ Sixth Street,
Marietta, for violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor.
Morris was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Hamilton
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Apr 05
at 11:45 am.
Shannon Finn Lannigan, age 33, 103 Shady Lane, Marietta, for
violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Lannigan
was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Hamilton and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Apr 05 at 2:45
pm.
Wayne Wilson Francis, age 63, 302 Aurora Street, Marietta,
for two felony charges of gross sexual imposition. Francis
was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Brown and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 19 Apr 05 at 3:10 pm.
David Houston Chisholm, age 41, 112 Maple Street, Marietta,
for contempt of a court order and for failure to appear at
a court ordered hearing at unpaid fines, both misdemeanors.
Chisholm was arrested at his residence by Sgt. Hiatt of the
Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 19 Apr 05 at 7:51 pm.
Dennis Ray Oakley, age 24, 424 Third Street Apt. 4, Marietta,
for a felony charge of violating the terms of a protection
order and misdemeanor charges of criminal damaging/endangering
and resisting arrest. Oakley was arrested at Marietta Memorial
Hospital by Patrolman Douglas of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Apr 05
at 9:05 pm.
