On 10 Apr 05 Denver K. Mace, age 42, 2395
Sheets Run Road, New Matamoras, reported sometime last Thursday
two Craftsman chainsaws were stolen from his rental property
at 807 Grandview Avenue, New Matamoras. This case remains under
investigation (200).
On 10 Apr 05 James N. Croston, age 27, 300
Buckeye Ridge Road, Chesterhill, reported after leaving his
vehicle along State Route 555 the previous evening because
he ran out of gas, he returned the following day and observed
both rear tires were punctured and his CD player along with
a sum of cash were stolen. This case remains under investigation
(586).
On 10 Apr 05 Jim Higgins, age 65, Maple Street,
Newport, reported during the past week eight chain binders
were stolen out of his semi-trailer while it was parked under
the St Marys bridge in Newport. This case remains under investigation
(500).
On 10 Apr 05 Tim Edgell, age 52, 181 Main
Street, Macksburg, reported at some point since 1 Apr an unknown
suspect(s) stole a two seat, five horsepower go cart from his
yard. This case remains under investigation (500).
On 10 Apr 05 Amber Gheen, age 20, 23485 State
Route 339, Beverly, reported since she last entered her storage
building at 18971 State Route 339 on 1 Mar 05, an unknown suspect(s)
removed the lock, ransacked the inside and stole a jewelry
box of costume jewelry and kitchenware items. This case remains
under investigation (945).
On 10 Apr 05 Sgt. Hiatt responded to a domestic
dispute report in the parking lot of Devola Pool on River Road
in Marietta. Gary D. Ward, age 33, 528 Fifth Street, Lowell,
stated he and his ex-wife Heather A. Chidester, age 30, 406
Seventh Street, Williamstown, met at the pool to exchange their
children when an argument erupted over one of the children
bringing a youth model guitar. Mr. Ward handed the instrument
back to Ms. Chidester through the car window when she grabbed
it and shoved it back into his face causing a laceration and
swelling around his left eye. When questioned Ms. Chidester
claimed the incident was accidental however based on his investigation
Sgt. Hiatt arrested Ms. Chidester for domestic violence and
transported her to the Washington County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Heather Ann Chidester, age 30, 406 Seventh
Street, Williamstown, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor.
Chidester was arrested in Marietta by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 10 Apr 05 at 3:30 pm.
Richard James Williams II, age 41, for OVI, for driving under
a suspended license and for failure to control, all misdemeanors.
Williams was arrested on Schoolhouse Road in Little Hocking
by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 10 Apr 05 at 6:40 pm.
