On 9 Apr 05 Roxie M. Mayle, age 43, 10965
State Route 555, Cutler, reported when she returned home her
twenty year old daughter informed her that an individual against
whom she has an anti-stalking protection order repeatedly drove
past their residence, made obscene comments and gestures before
exiting at a neighbor’s residence and mooned her daughter.
As a result, Deputy Sheriff Parks requested a warrant for James
N. Croston, age 27, 300 Buckeye Ridge Road, Chesterhill, for
violating the terms of a protection order.
On 9 Apr 05 Trisha Mugrage, age 24, 116 Cedar
Ridge Road, Lowell, reported between 8 that morning and 10
that evening, an unknown suspects stole approximately one load
of firewood along with a number of locust fence posts from
her property. This case remains under investigation (500).
On 9 Apr 05 Mark McAtee, age 40, 901 Lenore
Street, Parkersburg, reported at some point since the end of
deer season on 31 Nov 04, an unknown suspect(s) entered his
hunting cabin at 65 Burchette Road, Cutler, by breaking a window
and stole three chainsaws and two guns from inside. This case
remains under investigation (586).
On 9 Apr 05 Kimberly J. Tornes, age 21, 134
Masonic Park Road, Marietta, reported an individual against
whom she recently received a protection order allegedly phoned
her twice, a violation of said order. This case remains under
investigation (1203).
On 9 Apr 05 Lt. Wilson responded to the scene
of a vehicle fire on Grandview Hill Road near Cemetery Road
in New Matamoras. Tammy Henderson, age 39, 640 Rhinard Mills
Road, New Matamoras, stated as she drove her Dodge Intrepid
up Grandview Hill Road she felt the rear of her car lift up
and noticed it was on fire. Ms. Henderson escaped uninjured
though the vehicle is a total loss. While at the fire Lt. Wilson
observed the driver of a vehicle brake abruptly at the scene.
Believing something to be amiss, Lt. Wilson questioned the
driver, Brian L. Hendershot, age 20, 47A Williamson Avenue,
New Matamoras, and noticed an odor of alcohol. Deputy Sheriff
Mankins assisted in administering field sobriety tests and
being that Mr. Hendershot performed poorly on the tests, he
was arrested for OVI transported him to the Washington County
Jail.

Brian Lynn Hendershot, age 20, 44A Williamson
Avenue, New Matamoras, for OVI, a misdemeanor. Hendershot was
arrested in New Matamoras by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 9 Apr 05 at 6:35 am.
Pamela Darlene Carpenter, age 45, 164 Wells Avenue, Marietta,
for telephone harassment, a misdemeanor. Carpenter was arrested
on Wells Avenue by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 9 Apr 05 at 10:35 am.
Amy Elizabeth Rozer, age 28, 720 ½ Third Street, Marietta,
for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Rozer was arrested at
her residence by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Apr
05 at 11:15 am.
David Timothy Close, age 34, 105 Race Street, Marietta, for
two counts of driving under an FRA suspended license, for two
counts of breach of recognizance, for two counts of failure
to comply with the order/signal of a police officer and for
speeding, all misdemeanors. Close was arrested on Cedar Street
in Marietta by Patrolman Arbaugh of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
9 Apr 05 at 1:30 pm.
Thaddeus Jay Sharrett, age 23, 290 Ridgewood Court Apt. D,
Marietta, for criminal trespassing, a misdemeanor. Sharett
was arrested at Marietta College by Officer Bosworth of the
Marietta College Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 9 Apr 05 at 10:20 pm.
