On 8 Apr 05 Detective Kapple recovered a Kawasaki KX-125 motorcycle. The motorcycle is believed to have been stolen from the garage of Richard D. Lang, age 41, 1175 Swift Road, Vincent, between 15 Mar and 6 Apr 05. This case remains under investigation.

On 8 Apr 05 an employee of the Warren Local School District reported between 6:30 pm the previous evening and 8 am that morning, an unknown suspect threw three Budweiser beer bottles through two windows at the rear of Cutler Elementary School, 4550 Two Mile Run Road, Cutler. This case remains under investigation (592).

On 8 Apr 05 Lt. Canavan responded to the scene of a fire at 1080 Sandhill Road, Marietta. Preliminary reports indicate the fire was accidental in nature. Two of the occupants were transported to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment while one victim was treated at the scene.

On 8 Apr 05 Chance D. Cochrane, age 39, 100 Charles Street, Newport, reported observing a suspicious male attempting to break into a neighbor’s vehicle. This case remains under investigation (200).

On 8 Apr 05 the manager of White Oak Pharmacy, 8465 State Route 339, Vincent, showed Deputy Sheriff Mankins an in-store video of a suspect stealing a salt and pepper shaker. Identifying the suspect through a credit card purchase, Deputy Mankins questioned Allan Mann, age 53, 364 Cross Road, Belpre. After the suspect admitted taking the items Deputy Mankins requested a summons for Mr. Mann for theft.

The following individual wAS processed into the Washington County Jail:

John Eugene Anderson, age 23, 760 Greene Street, Marietta, for violating the terms of his parole, a felony. Anderson was arrested on Greene Street in Marietta by Parole Officer Smith and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Apr 05 at 5:36 pm.
