On 7 Apr 05 Charles D. Snedeker, age 52, 788
Layman Road, Vincent, reported at some point during the past
two weeks a red Yamaha ATV was stolen from his garage. This
case remains under investigation (698).
On 7 Apr 05 Deputy Sheriff Parks issued citations
to a seventeen year old Fleming resident and Corey W. Seeger,
age 18, 108 Ruby Drive Apt. 4, Marietta, for failure to obey
a traffic control device. Both drivers failed to stop at a
stop sign at the intersection of Devols Dam Road and Chamberlain
Drive in Muskingum Township.
On 7 Apr 05 Deputy Sheriff Norman issued a
citation to Alan K. Nelson, age 19, 3805 Oak Hill Road, Stockport,
for traveling 75 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Norman stopped
Mr. Nelson near mile post sixteen on State Route 60 in Waterford
Township.
On 7 Apr 05 Sgt. Underwood responded to a
report of a fire at a residence on Schoolhouse Road in Little
Hocking. Through interviewing witnesses, Sgt. Underwood surmised
that as a seventeen year old used a Bic lighter to check the
fuel level in his ATV, the ATV caught fire. The juvenile pushed
the ATV off the porch before the flames could cause more than
minimal damage and he sustained minor burns that were treated
at the scene by the Little Hocking Volunteer Fire Department.
On 7 Apr 05 a twenty-five year old Marietta
resident reported receiving harassing phone calls from her
ex-husband concerning the custody of their daughter. The woman
declined to pursue the matter further (292).
On 7 Apr 05 while on patrol in the vicinity
of Bender Road and State Route 7, Deputy Sheriff Eddy observed
a green Geo Storm over an embankment. Stopping to assist, Deputy
Eddy interviewed Dennis R. Frazier, age 36, 2 Weiss Alley,
Punxsutawney, PA, and his girlfriend, who Mr. Frazier summoned
to the scene to extricate his vehicle. Deputy Eddy noticed
an odor of alcohol about Mr. Frazier and requested he submit
to field sobriety tests. Following Mr. Frazier’s poor
performance on the tests, Deputy Eddy arrested him for OVI
and for failure to control and transported him to the Washington
County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Robert Matthew Parrish, age 28, 207 Aurora
Street Apt. C, Marietta, for receiving stolen property, a felony.
Parrish was arrested on State Route 7 by Deputy Sheriff Malone
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Apr 05 at
1:23 am.
Kevin James McRhea, age 34, Box 165 Belavista Drive, Marietta,
for contempt of a court order, a misdemeanor. McRhea was arrested
on Front Street in Marietta by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 7 Apr 05 at 3:00 am.
Andrew Bradford Russo, age 26, 840 Pike Street Apt. 37, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Russo
was arrested at the Paddlewheel Restaurant in Marietta by Patrolman
McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 7 Apr 05 at 4:15 am.
Steven Paul Wagner, age 35, 37321 State Route 145, Lower Salem,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Wagner
was arrested near the Noble County line by Deputy Sheriff Simmons
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Apr 05 at
6:50 am.
Gary Lee Jackson Jr., age 23, 300 Phillips
Street, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered
hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Jackson was arrested
on Cedar Street in Marietta by Patrolman Arbaugh of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 7 Apr 05 at 10:25 pm.
Dennis Robert Frazier, age 36, 2 Weiss Alley, Punxsutawney,
PA, for OVI and for failure to control, both misdemeanors.
Frazier was arrested on State Route 7 near Bender Road by Deputy
Sheriff Eddy and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 7 Apr 05 at 11:10 pm.
