On 3 Apr 05 Deputy Sheriff Evans initiated
a traffic stop on County Road 32 after observing a faulty license
plate light on the vehicle he was following. Deputy Evans noticed
an odor of alcohol on Jeromy M. Rowan, age 18, 571 Swift Road,
Waterford, and requested he submit to field sobriety tests
on which he performed poorly. Based on his observations, Deputy
Evans arrested Mr. Rowan for OVI and transported him to the
Washington County Jail. When Deputy Evans contacted a friend
to give Mr. Rowan’s passenger a ride home he learned
the friend, Paul Blagaich, age 21, 610 Main Street, Waterford,
had an outstanding warrant for trafficking in drugs. Therefore
Mr. Blagaich was also arrested and transported to the Washington
County Jail.
On 3 Apr 05 Deputy Sheriff Simmons was dispatched
to the scene of the death of a seventy-eight year old New Matamoras
resident. The death appears to be due to natural causes, no
foul play
is suspected.
On 3 Apr 05 Deputy Sheriff Malone responded
to a distress call placed by an fifty-two year old Marietta
resident stating he intentionally took an overdose of prescription
medication. The individual was voluntarily transported to Marietta
Memorial Hospital for treatment and evaluation.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Paul Michael Blagaich, age 21, 610 Main Street,
Waterford, a fugitive from justice, a felony. Blagaich was
arrested in Waterford by Deputy Sheriff Eddy and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 3 Apr 05 at 4:20 am.
Jeromy Michael Rowan, age 18, 571 Swift Road, Waterford, for
OVI, a misdemeanor. Rowan was arrested on County Road 32 by
Deputy Sheriff Evans and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 3 Apr 05 at 4:40 am.
Larry Joe Wilson, age 42, Marietta, for violating the terms
of his probation, a misdemeanor. Wilson was arrested in Marietta
by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Apr 05 at
5:40 am.
Justin Michael Cline, age 18, 184 Dawes Circle, Marietta,
for theft, a misdemeanor. Cline was arrested on Wood Street
in
Marietta by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3
Apr 05 at 8:30 am.
Aaron Preston Scott, age 22, 9585 State Route 339, Vincent,
for driving under an FRA suspended license and for speeding,
both misdemeanors. Scott was arrested on State Route 550 by
the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 3 Apr 05 at 12:09 pm.
