On 1 Apr 05 a forty-four year old Marietta
resident reported she has been receiving harassing phone calls
and text messages for the past week and a half. This case remains
under investigation (296).
On 1 Apr 05 Deputy Sheriff Evans responded
to a distress call by Brenda K. Murphy, age 41, Williamson
Avenue Lot 2, New Matamoras, stating she was assaulted by her
husband Randal, age 43, and she was afraid for her safety.
Mrs. Murphy further elaborated she was sleeping when her husband
returned from a night of drinking when he began cursing her,
jumped on top of her and commenced choking her with his forearm.
Due to Mr. Murphy’s propensity for violence, Deputy Evans
requested he be held without bond on a domestic violence charge
at the Washington County Jail.
On 1 Apr 05 Tom Ancona, age 52, 8282 Highland
Ridge Road, Lowell, reported a neighbor with whom he is involved
in a property dispute, allegedly removed and damaged a gate
from a private roadway on his property. This case remains under
investigation (945).
On 1 Apr 05 Ricky J. Brooks, 430 Elk Run Road,
Reno, reported between 1 and 3 that afternoon an unknown suspect(s)
entered his home and stole several rolls of quarters, nickels
and dimes, totaling approximately $79.50. This case remains
under investigation (292).
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrants:
Jeremy R. Braun, age 20, 195 Caywood Road,
Marietta, for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered
hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $419.90.
Robert Dalrymple, age 28, Route 3 Box 2083,
New Matamoras, for contempt for failure to appear at a court
ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $2,233.40.
Gary W. Harbison, age 37, 285 Highland Ridge
Road, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication on 20
Mar 05 and for breach of recognizance for failing to appear
for arraignment on 23 Mar 05.
Elton D. Hart, age 29, 99 Bean Road Lot 6,
The Plains, for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered
hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $237.90.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Gary Lee Jackson Jr., age 23, Marietta, for
disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Jackson was arrested on
Phillips Street in Marietta by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 1 Apr 05 at 12:05 am.
Andrew Bradford Russo, age 26, 840 Pike Street Apt. 37, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Russo was
arrested on Greene Street in Marietta by Patrolman McCracken
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 1 Apr 05 at 12:05 am.
Randal Gene Murphy, age 43, Williamson Avenue Lot 26, New
Matamoras, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Murphy was
arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Evans and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 1 Apr 05 at 2:05 am.
Donald Monroe Anderson, age 29, 1127 Lynn
Street, Parkersburg, for domestic violence, a felony. Anderson
was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Williams of the Belpre
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 1 Apr 05 at 11:42 am.
David Neale Necessary Sr., age 39, PO Box 459, Jessup, MD,
for a felony charge of having a weapon while under disability
and misdemeanor charges of theft and cruelty to animals. Necessary
was picked up in Jessup, MD, by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Apr 05 at
4:00 pm.
