On 27 Mar 05 Erin M. Rosen, 836 Pike Street
Apt. 24, Marietta, reported the driver of an unidentified
vehicle struck the passenger side of her Chevy S-10 while
she was parked at Sierra Apartments on St. Patrick’s
Day. This incident remains under investigation (945).
On 27 Mar 05 Lucy C. Stephens, age 48, 609
Florence Street, Belpre, reported at some point during the
past three days the rear license plate, number DAZ6177, was
stolen off her vehicle. This case remains under investigation
(296).
On 27 Mar 05, after initiating a stop for
a traffic violation on Patten Mills Road and in consequence
to a canine indicating the presence of drugs, Deputy Sheriffs
McLeish and Rhodes searched a vehicle driven by Jason M.
Swaney, age 29, 733 Neal Road, Akron, for narcotics. Finding
two smoking devices and a baggie of marijuana, Deputy Rhodes
arrested Mr. Neal for possession of drugs and for possession
of drug paraphernalia and transported him to the Washington
County Jail.
On 27 Mar 05 Deputies issued citations to:
James K. Mayle, age 35, 21988 State Route
550, Amesville, for driving under a license suspended for
failure to pay child support. Deputy McLeish stopped Mr.
Mayle on State Route 550 near State Route 555 in Wesley Township.
Robert T. Mayle, age 29, 1651 Mill Street, Chesterhill,
for not wearing a seat belt and for having an open container
of alcohol. Deputy McLeish stopped Mr. Mayle on State Route
550 near State Route 555 in Wesley Township.
David J. Caplinger, age 18, 776 Luke Chute
Road, Waterford, for failing to stop at a stop sign. Deputy
McLeish stopped Mr. Caplinger on Creek Road near County Road
197 in Wesley Township.
A sixteen year old Hamtramck, MI, resident for traveling
105 mph in a 65 mph zone. Deputy Evans stopped the juvenile
near mile post four on Interstate 77 in Muskingum Township
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Eric William Skidmore, age 26, 554 Scenic
Drive, Vinton, OH, for driving under an FRA suspended license,
a misdemeanor. Skidmore was arrested on Lancaster Street by
the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 27 Mar 05 at 12:02 am.
Brian Allen Reynolds, age 37, 85 Woodland Drive, Newport,
for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Reynolds
was arrested in New Matamoras by Deputy Sheriff Parks and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 27 Mar 05 at 12:25 am.
Kraig Evan Brand, age 46, 43139 Krieg Ridge Road, New Matamoras,
for contempt of a court order and for failure to appear at
a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, both misdemeanors.
Brand was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Simmons
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Mar 05
at 12:59 pm.
Jason Michael Swaney, age 29, 733 Neal Road, Akron, for possession
of drugs and for possession of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors.
Swaney was arrested on County Road 206 by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Mar 05
at 5:30 pm.
Joseph Edward Eichmiller, age 37, 17776 State Route 339, Vincent,
for possession of drugs and for possession of drug paraphernalia,
both misdemeanors. Eichmiller was arrested on County Road 197
by Deputy Sheriff McLeish and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 27 Mar 05 at 6:24 pm.
David William Ball, age 37, 1210 Laird Avenue, Parkersburg,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Ball was arrested on State Route 7 in
Belpre by Lt. Wilson of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27
Mar 05 at 8:05 pm.
Jeremy Ray Braun, age 20, 195 Caywood Road, Marietta, for
failure to comply with the order/signal of an officer and for
operating an unsafe vehicle, both misdemeanors. Braun was arrested
on State Route 7 by Detective Johnson of the Washington County
Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 27 Mar 05 at 9:50 pm.
