On 26 Mar 05 Deputy Sheriff Parks responded to a report of an intoxicated patron at the Dockside Tavern attempting to pick a fight with another patron. When questioned, Brian A. Reynolds, age 37, 85 Woodland Drive, Newport, admitted trying to pick a fight because the individual fought a friend of his two years ago. Based on that, Deputy Parks arrested Mr. Reynolds for disorderly conduct by intoxication and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

On 26 Mar 05 while acting on a tip to apprehend a suspect with an outstanding warrant, Sgt. Hiatt knocked on the door of Room 1 at 1200 Park Avenue, New Matamoras. In not so eloquent terms Daren E. Moore, age 25, stated he had not seen the suspect which was contrary to a witness’ statement that they just spoke to the suspect. Sgt. Hiatt located the suspect in an adjoining room and arrested her for the outstanding warrant and Mr. Moore for obstructing official business and transported the two to the Washington County Jail.

On 26 Mar 05 an employee of Mason’s Market, State Route 124, Little Hocking, reported finding a box trailer in the parking lot of the business that morning. Determining the trailer was stolen in Parkersburg at 5 am, Deputy Sheriff Rhodes returned the trailer to its owner.

On 26 Mar 05 Christopher Reed, age 34, 571 Swift Road, Waterford, reported a family member unsuccessfully attempted to pummel him with a baseball bat after the two engaged in an argument. This case remains under investigation (1090).

On 26 Mar 05 Dina C. Hupp, age 27, Route 1 Box 19, Waterford, reported after an acquaintance reneged out of buying a Honda Accord for $150, the acquaintance allegedly stole the car, a weight bench and a Playstation and took the car to the car crusher. This case remains under investigation (296).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Justin Allen Tucker, age 22, 112 Maple Street Apt. 2, Marietta, for contempt, a misdemeanor. Tucker was arrested on Second Street in Marietta by Patrolman Ritchie of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Mar 05 at 5:10 am.

Jennifer Lee Grimes, age 31, 12 Mar Ren Apartments, Marietta, for violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor. Grimes was arrested at in New Matamoras by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Mar 05 at 11:16 am.

Daren Earl Moore, age 25, 1200 Park Avenue Apt. 1, New Matamoras, for obstructing official business, a misdemeanor. Moore was arrested at in New Matamoras by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Mar 05 at 12:11 pm.
