On 20 Mar 05 Deputy Sheriff Parks investigated
a single vehicle collision in the parking lot of B & J
Carryout, 38710 State Route 7, Newport. Lena M. Collier, age
62, 72035 Cottrill Road, Wilkesville, OH, informed Deputy Parks
that as she entered the parking lot, the accelerator pedal
of her 1985 Oldsmobile Tornado became stuck and caused her
to collide with the north side of the building. Damage to the
business and to Ms. Collier’s vehicle was minor, no injuries
were reported.
On 20 Mar 05 an employee of the Washington
County Juvenile Detention Center reported a fourteen year old
resident ran away from the facility after a work detail without
permission. After an exhaustive search the juvenile returned
at 10 pm that evening and was issued a summons to appear in
Juvenile Court on delinquency charges (586).
On 20 Mar 05 Ross Wingrove, age 46, 172 James
Road, Fleming, reported he was allegedly threatened by a family
member’s boyfriend. This case remains under investigation
(1090).
On 20 Mar 05 the manager of Clayton Mobile
Homes reported the culvert of a gravel driveway of a repossessed
home at 210 Turkey Hollow Road, Cutler, was damaged between
12 and 20 Mar 05. This case remains under investigation (586).
On 20 Mar 05, responding to reports of an
individual walking along Interstate 77, Deputy Sheriff Stackpole
observed the suspect near mile post five walking on the shoulder.
Being that the suspect, Gary Harbison, age 36, 255 Highland
Ridge Road, Marietta, was noticeably intoxicated, Deputy Stackpole
arrested Mr. Harbison for disorderly conduct by intoxication
and transported him to the Washington County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Dallas Warren Roberts, age 22, 127 Pine Drive,
Little Hocking, for violating the terms of his probation, a
misdemeanor. Roberts was arrested at his residence by Probation
Officer Hamilton and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 20 Mar 05 at 12:45 am.
Bryan Paul Herb, age 22, 109 Sixth Street, Beverly, for .17
breath OVI, for not wearing a seat belt and for failure to
yield at a flashing traffic signal, all misdemeanors. Herb
was arrested on Pike Street by the Ohio State Highway Patrol
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Mar 05
at 2:10 am.
Gary Wayne Harbison, age 36, 255 Highland Ridge Road, Marietta,
for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Harbison
was arrested on Interstate 77 by Deputy Sheriff Stackpole and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Mar 05 at 2:50
am.
David Clifford Saenz, age 51, 14110 Crooked Tree Road, Lowell,
for .08 breath OVI and for failure to signal, both misdemeanors.
Saenz was arrested on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway
Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20
Mar 05 at 3:15 am.
Jacob William Nixon, age 31, 533 Second Street
Apt. 2, Marietta, for OVI and for driving outside the marked
lanes of travel,
both misdemeanors. Nixon was arrested at his residence by Sgt.
Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Mar 05 at 9:20
am.
Zachary Dylan Parr, age 27, 2402 Eleventh Avenue Apt. 8, Vienna,
for OVI, for speeding and for not using a child restraint,
all misdemeanors. Parr turned himself to Sgt. Hiatt at the
Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed
into the Washington County Jail on 20 Mar 05 at 3:16 pm.
Lloyd Thomas West III, age 48, 187 Northcrest Drive, Marysille,
OH, for failure to reinstate his operator’s license,
a misdemeanor. West was arrested near mile post eight on Interstate
77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 20 Mar 05 at 5:00 pm.
