On 19 Mar 05 Deputy Sheriff Stackpole investigated
a hit-skip collision in the parking lot of the Cliffside Carryout,
20825 State Route 550, Marietta. The driver of a blue Ford
F-150 informed Erica R. Heiss, 785 Silver Globe Road, Marietta,
that he backed into the front bumper of her Dodge Durango then
left the scene without providing his information. This incident
remains under investigation.
On 19 Mar 05 Raymond Buttie, age 42, 1218
Williamson Avenue, New Matamoras, reported receiving that evening,
two phone calls from Sharon Hinkle, age 49, a person against
whom he has a protection order, desiring to see him. Ms. Hinkle
then appeared at Mr. Buttie’s home, pushed in the glass
to and unlocked the rear door. Confirming Ms. Hinkle’s
actions with a witness, Deputy Sheriff Norman arrested Ms.
Hinkle for violating the terms of a protection order and transported
her to the Washington County Jail.
On 19 Mar 05 Chris Molessa, age 35, Route
1 Box 29A, Pullman, WV, reported at some point during the past
week an unknown suspect damaged the rear door and glass to
his hunting cabin on Falls Run Road in Cutler. This case remains
under investigation (586).
On 19 Mar 05 Robert E. O’Brien, age
51, 343 Main Street, Lower Salem, reported after observing
a suspicious person lurking around outside his home, he ventured
outside and found the keys to his vehicles were stolen. This
case remains under investigation (1203).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Thomas Stewart Rutter, age 42, 322 Cole-Coffman
Road, Marietta, for contempt of a court order, a misdemeanor.
Rutter was arrested near the Washington County Juvenile Center
by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Mar 05
at 4:41 pm.
Ron Michael Patterson, age 23, 424 Third Street, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Patterson
turned himself in at the Sheriff’s Office to Deputy Sheriff
Evans and was processed into the Washington County Jail on
19 Mar 05 at 5:45 pm.
Robert Scott Baker, age 37, 308 Robinson Hill Road, Marietta,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Baker was arrested at his residence by
Deputy Sheriff Malone and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 19 Mar 05 at 7:50 pm.
Sharon Louise Hinkle, age 49, 1218 Williamson Avenue, Marietta,
for violating the terms of a protection order, a misdemeanor.
Hinkle was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Parks
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Mar 05
at 9:30 pm.
Joseph Eugene Bohl, age 38, 2785 Post Boy Road, New Comerstown,
OH, for OVI and for driving under a suspended license, both
misdemeanors. Bohl was arrested on State Route 339 by the Ohio
State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 19 Mar 05 at 9:35 pm.
