On 24 Feb 05 Samuel R. Ward, age 26, 977 Gilman Avenue, Marietta, reported he was allegedly assaulted by his wife when she came to his place of business to confront him about paying their bills. Being that both parties gave conflicting statements and sustained no injuries, Deputy Sheriff Parks closed this case as unfounded.

On 24 Feb 05 an employee of Pure Water Co., Caldwell, reported between 5 Feb and 24 Feb, a plastic water meter on Main Street in Macksburg was totally destroyed. This case remains under investigation (586).

On 24 Feb 05 Jim Ritchie, age 41, 115 Forshey Road, Marietta, reported after paying $160 for advertising on a promotional placemat, he has yet to receive the promotional items. This case remains under investigation (586).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Jason Frederick Wheat, age 33, 163 Hanstein Place Apt. D, Groveport, OH, for .17 breath OVI and for failure to yield the right of way, both misdemeanors. Wheat was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Feb 05 at 9:28 pm.

Adam Cole Fluharty, age 20, 1702 Spring Street, Parkersburg, for underage consumption of alcohol, a misdemeanor. Fluharty was arrested on Washington Boulevard in Belpre by Patrolman Williams of the Belpre City Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Feb 05 at 3:55 am.

Michael Lee Bassett, age 35, Marietta, for violating the terms of his parole, a felony. Bassett was arrested on Pleasant Ridge by Deputy Sheriff Stackpole and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Feb 05 at 12:20 pm.

Brandon Scott Walters, age 22, 2512 39th Street Apt. 2, Parkersburg, for breaking and entering, a felony. Walters was arrested on Washington Boulevard in Belpre by Deputy Sheriff Parks and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Feb 05 at 10:31 pm.
