On 20 Feb 05 Roxie Mayle, age 43, 10965 State
Route 555, Cutler, reported receiving a number of harassing
phone calls from a person whose voice she recognized as a person
against whom she has a protection order. This case remains
under investigation (597).
On 20 Feb 05 Deputy Sheriff Evans initiated
a traffic stop on State Route 339 after observing a vehicle
fail to stop at a stop sign prior to turning off US 50. Detecting
an odor of alcohol on the driver, Deputy Evans requested Paula
S. Treadway, age 43, 2327 State Route 339, Belpre, submit to
field sobriety tests. Following her poor performance on the
tests, Deputy Evans arrested Ms. Treadway for OVI and transported
her to the Washington County Jail.
On 20 Feb 04 Deputy Sheriff Simmons responded
to the scene of a domestic dispute at 1218 Williamson Avenue,
New Matamoras. Raymond Buttie, age 41, stated when he returned
home with two new tires for his vehicle, he discovered the
two other tires on the vehicle were flattened. As he attempted
to enter the locked home, his live-in girlfriend Sharon L.
Hinkle, age 49, appeared and when he questioned her about the
punctured tires, slapped him across the face. Confirming Mr.
Buttie’s account with witnesses, Deputy Simmons arrested
Ms. Hinkle for domestic violence and transported her to the
Washington County Jail.
On 20 Feb 05 while en route to a report concerning
a fight, Sgt. Hiatt and Deputy Sheriff Evans were informed
one of the involved parties left on foot. A short time later
the Deputies located Daniel R. Sampson, age 36, 238 Third Street,
Lowell, either passed out or sleeping along Lowell Hill Road
in Lowell. Unable to stand or speak coherently, Mr. Sampson
was arrested for disorderly conduct by intoxication and transported
to the Washington County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Paula Sue Tredway, age 43, 2327 State Route
339, Belpre, for OVI and for failure to obey a traffic control
device, both misdemeanors. Tredway was arrested in Belpre by
Deputy Sheriff Evans and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 20 Feb 05 at 2:15 am.
James Matthew Gresham, age 19, 563 Burlew Drive, Charleston,
WV, for underage consumption of alcohol and for giving false
information, both misdemeanors. Gresham was arrested on Washington
Boulevard in Belpre by Patrolman Williams of the Belpre City
Police Department and was processed into the Washington County
Jail on 20 Feb 05 at 2:20 am.
Bobbie Lynn Cantwell, age 30, 169794 Minerva Avenue, Caldwell,
for violating the terms of her probation and for failure to
appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, both misdemeanors.
Cantwell was arrested near the Noble County line by Deputy
Sheriff Mankins and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 20 Feb 05 at 3:10 am.
James Daniel Cox, age 21, 80 Washington Square, Williamstown,
for OVI, for failure to signal and for failure to signal, all
misdemeanors. Cox was arrested on the west side of Marietta
by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 20 Feb 05 at 3:20 am.
Daniel Richard Sampson, age 36, 306 Main Street Apt. A, Lowell,
for disorderly conduct by intoxication and for violating the
terms of his probation, both misdemeanors. Sampson was arrested
on Lowell Hill Road by Deputy Sheriff Evans and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 20 Feb 05 at 6:10 am.
Tammy Lynn Whipkey, age 32, 836 Pike Street Apt. 15, Marietta,
for theft, a misdemeanor. Whipkey was arrested at her residence
by Deputy Sheriff McLeish and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 20 Feb 05 at 11:25 am.
Sharon Louise Hinckle, age 49, 1218 Williamson Avenue Apt.
45A, New Matamoras, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Hinckle
was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Simmons and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Feb 05 at 9:00
pm.
John Thomas McLaughlin, age 41, 20 Stacy Orchard Road, Marietta,
for OVI, for obstructing official business, for failure to
reinstate her operator’s license and for failure to control,
all misdemeanors. McLaughlin was arrested on Muskingum River
Road by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 20 Feb 05 at 9:00 pm.
