On 6 Feb 05 Deputy Sheriff Evans issued a
citation to Brian J. Summers, age 18, 4635 Anderson Road, South
Euclid, OH, for traveling 77 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Evans
stopped Mr. Summers on US 50 near Township Road 51 in Dunham
Township.
On 6 Feb 05 Christopher S. Hill, age 33, 857
Southland Cemetery Road, Cutler, reported he was assaulted
by an acquaintance in the parking lot of the Cliffside Carryout
following a discussion the two had earlier in the day. This
case remains under investigation (200).
On 6 Feb 05 Kevin M. Friend Sr., age 52, 1409
Rocky Point Road, Fleming, reported he awoke to discover several
derogatory terms directed toward his girlfriend spray painted
on his concrete driveway. This case remains under investigation
(1203).
On 6 Feb 05 Deputy Sheriff Mankins and the
Little Muskingum Volunteer Fire Department responded to the
scene of an out of control brush fire that resulted from an
illegal trash fire began by a resident on Shook Road in Marietta.
No structures suffered damage, however five to six acres of
the resident’s property was scorched. This case remains
under investigation (296).
On 6 Feb 05 Deputy Sheriff Evans issued a
citation to Ashlee M. Carpenter, age 19, 330 Wolf Avenue, Wadsworth,
OH, for traveling 71 mph in a 50 mph zone. Deputy Evans stopped
Ms. Carpenter on US 50 near Braun Road in Belpre Township.
On 6 Feb 05 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes responded
to the Lawnsdale Bar, State Route 7, Belpre, to intervene in
fisticuffs that took place inside and outside the establishment
moments earlier. Kimberly J. Eaton, 44, 1624 Hill Street, Belpre,
stated after witnessing a fight between two men inside the
bar, a female unknown to her struck her in the face and knocked
her down. When a friend of Ms. Eaton inquired the woman of
her motive for striking Ms. Eaton, she too was attacked. Shortly
thereafter an altercation also took place in the adjacent parking
lot, during which time a beer bottle was heaved through the
passenger side window of a truck belonging to the bar’s
owner. This case remains under investigation (200).
The following individual
wAS processed into the Washington County Jail:
Francisco Viernes Mendoza, age 40, 736 Greene
Street Apt. 16, Marietta, for criminal trespassing and for
disorderly conduct by intoxication, both misdemeanors. Mendoza
was arrested on Greene Street by Patrolman Heddleston of the
Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 6 Feb 05 at 12:20 pm.
