On 4 Feb 05, while inventorying property of an individual to be processed into the Washington County Jail, Deputy Sheriff Bichard found a small bag of marijuana in the wallet of Willis V. Thompson, age 28, 26930 State Route 7, Marietta.  Though Mr. Thompson denied being the owner of the marijuana in the wallet containing his social security card, Deputy Bichard issued him a minor misdemeanor citation for possession of marijuana. 

On 4 Feb 05 Deputy Sheriff Stackpole issued a citation to David A. Dewitt, age 23, 115 Mitchell’s Lane, Marietta, for traveling 89 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Stackpole stopped Mr. Dewitt on State Route 7 near County Road 51 in Dunham Township.

the Sheriff’s Office received the following warrants:

Charles A. Hackney Jr., age 34, 503 Ferguson Street, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation by failing to maintain contact with his probation officer, for failing to make scheduled fine payments and for failing to attend or complete counseling as ordered by the court.

Aaron J. Huberfield, age 21, 2709 Richner Court, Twinsburg, OH, for violating the terms of his probation by failing to show proof of obtaining a valid operator’s license or to appear to serve three days in jail.

Timothy J. Thorne, age 36, 1419 Hocking Road, Belpre, for breach of recognizance for failing to appear for pretrial on charges of driving under a suspended license and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Chasady L. Whipkey, age 18, 305 36th Street, Parkersburg, for violating the terms of her probation by failing to appear for a scheduled appointment on 19 Jan 05.

Seth R. Nelson-Poovey, age 21, 913 Front Street Apt. B, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation by failing to show proof of obtaining a valid operator’s license or to appear to serve three days in jail.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Pamela Darlene Carpenter, age 389 Cedar Ridge Road, Lowell, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Carpenter was arrested at the intersection of Market and Barber Streets in Marietta by Patrolman Hickey of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Feb 05 at 1:10 am.

Julie Annette Ash, age 29, Pennock Trailer Court Lot 16, Beverly, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Ash was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Feb 05 at 7:40 am.

Aubrey Gale Radcliffe, age 47, 4000 Walburn Avenue, Cleveland, for violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor. Radcliffe was picked up in Akron, OH, by Corrections Officer Reeder and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Feb 05 at 3:25 pm.

Timothy James Newbrough, age 21, 1102 ½ 24th Street, Parkersburg, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Newbrough turned himself in at the Sheriff’s Office to Deputy Sheriff Stackpole and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Feb 05 at 5:55 pm.

Robert David Cline, age 46, 1043 State Route 339, Belpre, for gross sexual imposition and for obstruction of justice, both felonies. Cline was arrested at his residence by Detective Kapple of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Feb 05 at 9:20 pm.
