On 2 Feb 05 Deputy Sheriff Sears responded
to a domestic disturbance at 2719 Mead Street, Belpre. Kelly
D. Buttermore, age 30, advised Deputy Sears her husband Richard,
age 32, flew into a fit of rage while the two discussed family
problems and began trashing items in the house. Mrs. Buttermore
and a child fled to a bathroom while Mr. Buttermore left belongings
strewn about, the house in a state of disarray. As his wife
exited the bathroom Mr. Buttermore struck her in the face,
knocked her head into the wall, shoved her down and proceeded
to kick her. In consequence Deputy Sheriff Rhodes arrested
Mr. Buttermore for domestic violence and transported him to
the Washington County Jail.
On 2 Feb 05 Betty Schau, age 75, 420 Schau
Road, Lowell, reported between 9 am Tuesday morning and 9 pm
Wednesday night, a silver necklace with a cross pendant was
stolen from where she had it hidden in her home. This case
remains under investigation (586).
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrant:
Timothy J. Thorne, age 36, 1416 Hocking Road,
Belpre, for contempt for failure to appear for jury trial on
19 Jan 05, having been indicted on trafficking in and possession
of drugs.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
James Allen Cooper, age 19, 136 Dawes Circle,
Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor.
Cooper turned himself in to Deputy Sheriff Sears and was processed
into the Washington County Jail on 2 Feb 05 at 8:40 am.
Richard S. Buttermore, age 30, 2719 Mead Street,
Belpre, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Buttermore was
arrested at the Belpre City Police Department by Deputy Sheriff
Sears and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Feb
05 at 4:15 pm.
Charles Franklin West, age 43, 845 County House Lane, Marietta,
for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. West
was arrested on Seventh Street in Marietta by Patrolman Chapman
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 2 Feb 05 at 4:55 pm.
Taryen Ann Traugh, age 25, 1002 Washington Boulevard Apt.
7, Belpre, for failure to comply with the order of an officer,
for driving under a suspended license, for not wearing a seat
belt and for possession of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors.
Traugh was arrested on Washington Boulevard in Belpre by Patrolman
Morris of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 2 Feb 05 at 8:55 pm.
