On 31 Jan 05 James B. Westfall, age 66, 551
Broad Street, Macksburg, reported between 29 Jan and 30 Jan
an acquaintance may have stolen two of his used trailer axles
from his son’s property on Hickory Drive in Lower Salem.
This case remains under investigation (174).
On 31 Jan 05 Elaine R. Riddle, age 49, 2597
Congress Road, Belpre, reported between a quarter till and
half past ten that evening an unknown suspect removed a clay
pot and citronella candle from her porch and threw it against
the front plate glass window of her home, causing the pot to
break and a scratch on the window. This case remains under
investigation (232).
On 31 Jan 05 Tiffany L. Bissell, age 20, 41346
Coolville Road, Reedsville, OH, reported when she rose for
work that morning and ventured outside her boyfriend’s
residence at 112 Oak Grove Lane, Marietta, she discovered the
CD player was stolen from inside her car. This case remains
under investigation (1203).
On 31 Jan 05 an employee of Pioneer Chevrolet,
State Route 7, Marietta, reported at some point during the
weekend an amplifier was stolen from inside a vehicle in the
business’ used car lot. This case remains under investigation
(174).
SPECIAL NEWS RELEASE FOR MONDAY 31 JAN 05
ARRESTS MADE BY WASHINGTON
COUNTY DRUG TEAM
On 28 Jan 05, the Washington County Drug Team,
comprised of officers of the Marietta Police Department and
the Washington County Sheriff’s Office in conjunction
with the Washington County Prosecutor’s Office arrested
two drug suspects believed to be involved in the distribution
of significant quantities of crack cocaine. On Friday evening,
the Drug Team purchased six grams of crack cocaine using five
hundred dollars worth of marked bills at the residence of David
Lincoln, age 21, and Paul
Lincoln, age 39, at 729 Ninth Street, Marietta. The officers
later executed a search warrant at the residence and recovered
the marked currency along with a large sum of cash and an additional
quantity of crack cocaine. Both men are being held without
bail at the Washington County Jail pending action by the Prosecutor
and the Grand Jury. Please direct any additional inquiries

the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrants:
Fawn Farley, age 36, 723B Lewis Drive, Belpre,
for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines in the sum of $123.50.
Kimberly L. Quenga, 1209C Wyatt Lane, Belpre, for failing
to appear for a contempt hearing on 19 Jan 05.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Preston Joseph Smith Jr., age 29, 578 Sixth
Street NW, Carrollton, OH, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor.
Smith was arrested near mile post fourteen on Interstate 77
by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 31 Jan 05 at 6:30 am.
