On 26 Jan 05 Deputy Rhodes was dispatched
to 46 Hickory Drive, Little Hocking, in response to a domestic
dispute. When he arrived the homes residents, Tonia Reed, age
32, and Johnnie Ettinger, age 37, were standing on the porch.
Ms. Reed advised Deputy Norman the two had an argument over
misplacing a cellular phone at a bar earlier in the evening
and that Mr. Ettinger raised his fist at her in a threatening
motion and also punched a car window. As a result of his investigation,
Deputy Rhodes arrested Mr. Ettinger for disorderly conduct
and transported him to the Washington County Jail.
On 26 Jan 05 Buffie Gerst, age 26, 3454 State
Route 821, Marietta, reported receive five phone calls from
her former live-in boyfriend, in violation of a protection
order she has against him. Deputy Sheriff Norman located the
suspect, George J. Ward, age 33, 361 Broad Street, Macksburg,
walking along State Route 821 and stopped to question him.
Mr. Ward admitted calling Ms. Gerst, was arrested for violating
the terms of a protection order and transported to the Washington
County Jail.
On 26 Jan 05 Deputy Sheriff Norman responded
to a report of domestic violence at a Marietta residence. The
thirty-nine year old victim informed Deputy Norman her sixteen
year old daughter threw a shoe at her during an argument, attempted
to strike her in the face and kicked her in the leg. As a result
Deputy Norman requested a summons for the juvenile to appear
in juvenile court for being delinquent.
On 26 Jan 05 Detective Sirianni began an investigation into a Honda Accord engulfed in flames while parked along Zion Ridge Road in Lawrence Township.
On 26 Jan 05 Charles E. Atkins, age 19, 1210
Burnett Road, Cutler, reported between 24 and 26 Jan 05, a
former girlfriend may have broken the driver and passenger
side windows of his vehicle. This case remains under investigation
(792).
On 26 Jan 05 William J. Fletcher, age 36,
625 Clement Avenue, Belpre, reported between 8 pm on 25 Jan
and 11:30 am on 26 Jan, an unknown suspect(s) shot what appeared
to be a pellet-sized hole in the driver side window of his
vehicle. Beyond informational purposes, Mr. Fletcher declined
to pursue the matter further (296).

Jason T. Bailey, age 29, 21260 Country Meadows Apt. 6, Marietta, for failure to appear for a probation appointment on 12 Dec 04 and for failing to attend or show proof of completing court ordered counseling.
Gene D. Craig, age 32, 306 Colegate Drive, Marietta, for failure to appear for a probation appointment on 21 Dec 04 and for failing to attend or show proof of completing court ordered counseling.
Jennifer L. Grimes, age 31, Mar Ren Apartments #12, Marietta, for failing to appear to serve twenty-four days in jail on 3 Jan 05.
James G. Janes, age 53, 201 Fifth Street, Lowell, for failing to appear to serve eighty-seven days in jail on 10 Jan 05.
James D. Johnson, age 34, 2720 Beach Drive, Belpre, for possession of drugs on 25 Sep 04.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Marc Anthony Crockett, age 24, 2997 Pleasant Ridge Road, Marietta, for .08 breath OVI and for having a defective exhaust, both misdemeanors. Crockett was arrested on Greene Street by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Jan 05 at 3:50 am.
Douglas Brian Lauderman, age 42, 711 Washington Street , Marietta , for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Lauderman as arrested on St Marys Avenue in Marietta by Patrolman Heddleston of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Jan 05 at 11:20 am.
George Jeremy Ward, age 33, 3454 State Route 821, Marietta , for violating the terms of a protection order, a misdemeanor. Ward was arrested on State Route 821 by Deputy Sheriff Norman and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Jan 05 at 10:40 pm.
