On 23 Jan 04 Deputy Sheriffs Norman and Rhodes were dispatched to 96 Main Street, Lower Salem, in response to a domestic dispute. Evette M. Hardie, age 27, advised the Deputies her live-in boyfriend John D. O’Brien, age 49, assaulted her at their residence following an argument that began at the Fox Den bar. Ms. Hardie further elaborated that Mr. O’Brien grabbed and pulled her around by the hair and smacked her on the left side of her face. As a result of their investigation, Deputy Rhodes arrested Mr. O’Brien for felony domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

On 23 Jan 05 Ginny Herron, age 28, 166 Coplin Street, Marietta, reported between 21 Jan and the morning of 23 Jan, she believes two gold and diamond rings were stolen from the jewelry box in her home. This case remains under investigation (500).

The following individual wAS processed into the Washington County Jail:

Patrick Dean Harper, age 46, 15 Zion Ridge Road, Marietta, for driving under a suspended license and for operating with an expired license, both misdemeanors. Harper was arrested on Zion Ridge Road by Deputy Sheriff McLeish and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 Jan 05 at 8:15 pm.
