On 13 Jan 05 Susan Vanfossen, age 45, 2722
Beach Drive, Belpre, reported witnessing a person, she believed
to be her ex-husband, dump a multi-colored couch in her yard.
This case remains under investigation (1090).
On 13 Jan 05 Lt. Wilson initiated a traffic stop on State Route 7 after observing
the northbound vehicle he was following swerve across the centerline, halfway
into the left lane on the southbound side of the road. Admitting to drinking
five beers earlier in the evening, Gary W. Gant, age 50, 902 Lancaster Street,
Marietta, performed poorly on field sobriety tests administered by Lt. Wilson.
As a result, Lt. Wilson arrested Mr. Gant for .08 breath OVI and for driving
outside the marked lanes of travel and transported him to the Washington County
Jail.
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrants:
Norma C. Preston, age 34, 728 Third Street,
Marietta, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered
hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $389.35.
Chasady L. Whipkey, age 18, 305 36th Street, Parkersburg,
for failing to appear for a pre-trial hearing on 5 Jan 05.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Gary Wayne Gant, age 50, 902 Lancaster Street,
Marietta, for .08 breath OVI and for driving outside the marked
lanes of travel, both misdemeanors. Gant was arrested on State
Route 7 by Lt. Wilson of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13
Jan 05 at 12:25 am.
Timothy James Newbrough, age 21, 1102 ½ 24th Street,
Parkersburg, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Newbrough
was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 13 Jan 05 at 1:10 am.
Celena Marie Hardie, age 24, 104 Riley Drive Apt. 8, Marietta,
for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Hardie
was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 13 Jan 05 at 1:35 am.
Alfred Henry Martin, age 18, 23939 Moyis Road, Coolville,
for driving under suspension, for having fictitious plates,
for failure to signal and for trafficking in drugs, all misdemeanors.
Martin was arrested in Belpre by the Ohio State Highway Patrol
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Jan 05
at 3:26 am.
Jacqueline Lynn Queen, age 38, 1103 Colonial
Drive, Marietta, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Queen
was arrested on Colonial Drive by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Jan 05 at 9:45
am.
Carl Daniel Hofmann, age 27, 11480 Waterford Road, Waterford,
for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Hofmann was arrested
at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Gherke and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 13 Jan 05 at 2:00 pm.
Christopher Shawn McLeod, age 38, 112 Devol Drive, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. McLeod
was arrested at the Super 8 Motel by Probation Officer Ketelsen
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Jan 05
at 6:45 pm.
Darrell Eugene Clark, age 19, 230 Fay Avenue, Marietta, for
two misdemeanor counts of failure to appear. Clark was picked
up at the Forsythe County Jail in North Carolina by Deputy
Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 13 Jan 05 at 10:15 pm.
