On 8 Jan 05 David MacClymont, age 36, 307
Third Street, Lowell, reported after receiving a number of
harassing phone calls from Robert J. Perry, Mr. Perry came
to his residence and began banging on the front door. Mr. Perry
forced his way through the door and began swinging at Mr. MacClymont
before Mr. MacClymont laid him out on the bathroom floor. When
Deputy Sheriff Norman arrived at the scene several witnesses
also stated Mr. Perry was outside yelling and cursing and had
also dented the hood of a vehicle parked at a neighboring residence.
In consequence, Deputy Norman arrested Mr. Perry for aggravated
burglary and criminal mischief and transported him to the Washington
County Jail.
On 8 Jan 05 Andrew Knick, age 22, 13153 State Route 550, Marietta, reported he
was assaulted by an unknown male outside the Cliffside Carryout. Repeated patrols
of the area failed to yield the suspect. This case remains under investigation
(586).
On 8 Jan 05 Deputy Sheriff Mankins received a report of an intoxicated individual
purchasing alcohol at Kroger’s and that the suspect left the business driving
a vehicle. Deputy Mankins located the vehicle driven by Brian K. Griffin, age
33, 228 Sheldon Avenue, Marietta, as he pulled into his driveway and initiated
a traffic stop. Though he was not legally intoxicated, Deputy Mankins learned
Mr. Griffin was driving under an FRA suspended license. Accordingly, Deputy Mankins
arrested Mr. Griffin for driving under suspension and transported him to the
Washington County Jail.
On 8 Jan 05 Gail A. Bayless, age 19, 125 Millers
Lane Apt. 4, Marietta, reported her live-in boyfriend allegedly
assaulted her following an argument. This case remains under
investigation (1184).
On 8 Jan 05 William A. Elfritz, age 61, 115 Seventh Street, Williamstown, reported
of four blank checks stolen from his coat last month, two were subsequently forged
and cashed. This case remains under investigation (1184).
On 8 Jan 05, acting on reports of an erratic driver, Lt. Wilson initiated a traffic
stop on a vehicle driven by Jerome E. Turner, 601 Chamberlain Drive, Marietta,
on Glendale Road. Detecting an odor of alcohol, Lt. Wilson administered standard
field sobriety tests, on which Mr. Turner performed poorly. As a result, Lt.
Wilson arrested Mr. Turner for OVI and transported him to the Washington County
Jail.
On 8 Jan 05 Jerry D. Patterson, age 37, 4430 State Route 676, Stockport, reported
between the evening of 6 Jan and the morning of 8 Jan, his red Suzuki Vinson
ATV was stolen from his property. This case remains under investigation (200).
On 8 Jan 05 Charles Eberhard, age 38, 3250 Keiner Road, Gallipolis,
reported another individual from Gallipolis began taunting
him during his son’s
basketball game at Warren High School and later allegedly kicked a dent in the
door of his Chevy Cavalier. This case remains under investigation (586).
On 8 Jan 05 while on patrol Deputy Evans observed two males
occupying a vehicle parked in a private lot near the intersection
of Sherry Drive and Glendale Road
in Marietta. While speaking with the occupants, Brian J. Isner, age 18, 507 Chamberlain
Drive, Marietta and Angelo T. Rossi, age 18, 611 Warren Street, Marietta, Deputy
Evans noticed an odor of alcohol. Both suspects admitted consuming alcohol prior
to the arrival of Deputy Evans and were arrested for underage consumption of
alcohol and transported to the Washington County Jail. A subsequent consensual
search of Mr. Rossi’s vehicle also resulted in an additional charge of
possession of drug paraphernalia. The two were then transported to the Washington
County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Lisa Ann Turner, age 41, 601 Chamberlain Drive,
Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication and for consuming
in a motor vehicle, both misdemeanors. Turner was arrested
on Glendale Road by Liquor Control Agent Sagraves and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 8 Jan 05 at 12:20 am.
Jerome Edward Turner, age 40, 601 Chamberlain Drive, for OVI,
a misdemeanor. Turner was arrested on Glendale Road by Lt.
Wilson of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Jan 05 at 12:45
am.
Hunter Alan Miller, age 18, 6915 Wheeling Road, Zanesville,
for possession of a controlled substance and for possession
of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors. Miller was arrested
on State Route 7 by Patrolman Morris of the Belpre City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
8 Jan 05 at 5:50 am.
Brian Keith Griffin, age 33, 228 Sheldon Avenue, Marietta,
for driving under an FRA suspended license, a misdemeanor.
Griffin was arrested on Sheldon Avenue by Deputy Sheriff Mankins
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Jan 05 at
10:40 pm.
