On 5 Jan 05 while refueling his patrol car, Lt. Wilson observed a vehicle passing the filling station slide sideways as it negotiated a turn and radioed to Patrolman Oliver of the Beverly Police Department to stop the vehicle.  Lt. Wilson made contact with the driver Lucia B. Brenner, age 41, 14503 State Route 339, Beverly, on State Route 60 near Center Street in Beverly.  To Lt. Wilson, Ms. Brenner appeared very intoxicated, slurred her speech and had trouble standing.  After Ms. Brenner admitted consuming alcohol and her poor performance on field sobriety tests, Lt. Wilson arrested Ms. Brenner for OVI and for driving under a suspended license and transported her to the Washington County Jail.

On 5 Jan 05 Deputy Sheriff Mankins was dispatched to the scene of a domestic dispute at the home of Katrina Zinn, age 33, 146 Sandhill Road, Marietta.  Mrs. Zinn stated she was involved in an argument with her husband Thomas Dean, age 36, as the two were en route to their home.  When they reached their abode Mr. Zinn pushed his wife out of the stationary car onto the driveway, continuing to argue as they entered their home.  In a fit of rage Mr. Zinn tossed about furniture and glassware causing abrasions to his wife and her to be in fear for her safety.  As a result, Deputy Mankins arrested Mr. Zinn for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail where he is being held without bond.
