On 5 Jan 05 while refueling his patrol car, Lt. Wilson observed a vehicle passing the filling station slide sideways as it negotiated a turn and radioed to Patrolman Oliver of the Beverly Police Department to stop the vehicle. Lt. Wilson made contact with the driver Lucia B. Brenner, age 41, 14503 State Route 339, Beverly, on State Route 60 near Center Street in Beverly. To Lt. Wilson, Ms. Brenner appeared very intoxicated, slurred her speech and had trouble standing. After Ms. Brenner admitted consuming alcohol and her poor performance on field sobriety tests, Lt. Wilson arrested Ms. Brenner for OVI and for driving under a suspended license and transported her to the Washington County Jail.
On 5 Jan 05 Deputy Sheriff Mankins was dispatched to the scene of a domestic dispute at the home of Katrina Zinn, age 33, 146 Sandhill Road, Marietta. Mrs. Zinn stated she was involved in an argument with her husband Thomas Dean, age 36, as the two were en route to their home. When they reached their abode Mr. Zinn pushed his wife out of the stationary car onto the driveway, continuing to argue as they entered their home. In a fit of rage Mr. Zinn tossed about furniture and glassware causing abrasions to his wife and her to be in fear for her safety. As a result, Deputy Mankins arrested Mr. Zinn for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail where he is being held without bond.

Ted Robert Pittaway, age 47, 700 Hill Avenue,
Parkersburg, for passing bad checks, a misdemeanor. Pittaway
was arrested at Cross Country Mortgage by Patrolman Williams
of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 5 Jan 05 at 2:40 pm.
Thomas Eugene Malone Sr., age 26, 227 Sheldon Avenue, Marietta,
for two misdemeanor counts of contempt of a court order. Malone
was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court by Probation Officer
Hamilton and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5
Jan 05 at 4:05 pm.
Gerald Lantz Miller, age 37, 523 Dennison Avenue, Akron, for
possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, both
misdemeanors. Miller was picked up in Summit County by Deputy
Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 5 Jan 05 at 6:00 pm.
