On 2 Jan 05 Deputy Sheriff McLeish issued a citation to Michael F. Cooper, age 23, Route 1 Box 167 Whipple Run Road, Whipple, for operating with expired tags. Deputy McLeish stopped Mr. Cooper on State Route 7 near Pioneer Chevrolet in Marietta Township.

On 2 Jan 05 Deputy Sheriff Evans issued a citation to Jennifer L. Goas, age 21, 25225 Shaker Boulevard, Beachwood, OH, for traveling 83 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Evans stopped Ms. Goas on State Route 7 near Briggs Hill Road in Dunham Township.

On 2 Jan 05 Deputy Sheriff McLeish issued a citation to Roy C. Gavlic, age 47, 175 West 44th Street, Shadyside, OH, for traveling 68 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy McLeish stopped Ms. Gavlic on State Route 7 near Willow Island in Newport Township.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Gary Lee Jackson Jr., age 22, 231 Hillcrest Drive Apt. D, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation and for contempt of a court order, both misdemeanors. Jackson was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Jan 05 at 12:10 am.

Amy Renee Ross, age 28, 709 Center Street, Beverly, for passing bad checks, a misdemeanor. Ross was arrested in Marietta by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Jan 05 at 12:15 pm.
