On 30 Dec 04 an employee of Rent Way 1001
Pike Street Suite 1, Marietta, reported the business reported
receiving a bad check for $122.14 on 13 Nov 04. This case remains
under investigation (8411).
On 30 Dec 04 Lt. Wilson initiated a traffic
stop on Front Street near Wooster after observing the vehicle
he was following travel over the lane marker on several occasions.
Despite activating his overhead lights, the driver of the vehicle
did not stop for Lt. Wilson until she crossed the Putnam Street
Bridge and turned onto Lancaster Street. Detecting an odor
of alcohol about the driver, Kimberly A. Tiedeman, age 23,
308 Oakwood Avenue, Marietta, Lt. Wilson administered three
standard field sobriety tests, on which she performed poorly.
Based on his observations, Lt. Wilson arrested Ms. Tiedeman
for OVI, driving under a suspended license and for driving
outside the marked lanes of travel and transported her to the
Washington County Jail.
On 30 Dec 04 Deputy Sheriff Evans initiated
a traffic stop on US 50 near State Route 7 to issue a citation
to Victor A. Carver, age 26, 705 Thomas Street, Belpre, for
operating without a license but when he found Mr. Carver had
outstanding warrants, arrested him and transported him to the
Washington County Jail.
On 30 Dec 04 Amy N. Meadows, age 24, 39 Neff
Ridge Road, Marietta, reported on two occasions since 10 Nov
she has been defrauded out of over five hundred dollars by
a company purporting she was entitled to a five thousands dollar
government grant. This case remains under investigation (296).
On 30 Dec 04 Tianna L. Kinney, age 18, 601
West Fourth Street, Williamstown, arrived at the Sheriff’s
Office to report she was assaulted by her father Philip W.
Kinney, age 48, 601 West Fourth Street, Williamstown, at 115
Deerhaven in Marietta. Ms. Kinney stated a verbal disagreement
escalated to a point in which Mr. Kinney broke his daughter’s
cd player and threw the pieces at her. After Ms. Kinney entered
her vehicle to leave the scene, Mr. Kinney attempted to thrust
his fist through the vehicle’s windshield in a final
act of intimidation. Determining Ms. Kinney was in fear for
her safety, Deputy Mankins requested a warrant for the arrest
of Mr. Kinney for domestic violence.

Office received the following warrants:
Josh J. Farmer, age 23, Route 1 Box 110 1A,
Waterford, for unlawfully hunting deer on 2 Dec 04 with a gun
capable of holding three or more shells.
Frederick M. Golden, age 23, 555 Ross Road, Little Hocking,
for unlawfully hunting deer on 2 Dec 04 with a gun capable
of holding three or more shells.
Chad J. Webb, age 27, PO Box 37 Route 1, Beverly, for hunting
without permission and for hunting with the aid of a motor
vehicle on 29 Nov 04.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Jon Anthony Cox, age 19, 120 Washington Square, Williamstown,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Cox
was arrested near the Williamstown Bridge by Patrolman Huffman
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 30 Dec 04 at 1:40 am.
Bobby Leroy Anderson, age 45, 5056 Ireland Road, Coolville,
for OVI, for driving under an OVI suspended license and for
driving left of center, all misdemeanors. Anderson was arrested
on State Route 26 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 30 Dec 04 at 1:50 am.
Michael Alan Lightfritz, age 24, 717 Quarry Street, Marietta,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Lightfritz was arrested on Front Street
in Marietta by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
30 Dec 04 at 2:30 am.
Deane Alan Curtis, age 42, 246 Pennsylvania Avenue Apt. B,
Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor.
Curtis was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Sury of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 30 Dec 04 at 3:20 am.
Kimberly Ann Tiedemann, age 23, 308 Oakwood Avenue, Marietta,
for .17 breath OVI, driving under a suspended license and for
driving outside the marked lanes of travel, all misdemeanors.
Tiedemann was arrested on Lancaster Street in Marietta by Lt.
Wilson of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Dec 04 at 3:50
am.
Andrew Michael Russell, age 18, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Russell
was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Hamilton and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Dec 04 at 11:25
am.
Bryan David Leasure, age 30, 1255 State Route 618, Belpre,
for violating the terms of his parole, a felony. Leasure was
arrested at the office of Probation Officer Gilchrist and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 30 Dec 04 at 4:30 pm.
Victor Allen Carver, age 26, 1812 Cameron Avenue, Parkersburg,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines and for driving under a suspended license, both misdemeanors.
Carver was arrested on State Route 7 by Deputy Sheriff Evans
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Dec 04
at 6:05 pm.
