On 19 Dec 04 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes initiated a traffic stop near mile post forty-one on State Route 7 after observing the vehicle he was following drive to the left of the centerline then to the right of the white edge line. Detecting a strong odor of alcohol on the driver, Gregory A. Edgar, age 34, 405 Dana Road, Newport, Deputy Rhodes requested he submit to field sobriety tests, on which he performed poorly. Mr. Edgar was therefore arrested Mr. Silvus for OVI, and driving left of center and transported to the Washington County Jail.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Gregory Alan Edgar, age 34, 405 Dana Road, Newport, for .08 breath OVI and for driving left of center, both misdemeanors. Edgar was arrested in Newport by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Dec 04 at 4:27 am.

Tammy Suzette Mayle, age 41, 1206 Drag Strip Road, Belpre, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Mayle was arrested at her residence by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Dec 04 at 10:00 am.
