On 15 Dec 04 Jeffrey L. Maston, age 49, 900
Mount Tom Road, Marietta, reported two boxes delivered via
UPS, one containing an office chair and the other a Christmas
present from his daughter, were stolen from his back porch
the previous morning. This case remains under investigation
(1184).
On 15 Dec 04 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes initiated
a traffic stop on Veto Road after observing the westbound vehicle
he was following travel to the left of the centerline. While
speaking with the driver Deputy Rhodes noticed an odor of alcohol
as well as two open beer cans in the cup holder of the vehicle.
Sherry M. Flowers, age 38, 7275 Veto Road, Belpre, admitted
consuming alcohol earlier and had in fact consumed in the vehicle,
the two beers Deputy Rhodes observed. Following her poor performance
on field sobriety tests Deputy Rhodes arrested Ms. Flowers
for OVI and for driving left of center and transported her
to the Washington County Jail.

Office received the following warrants:
Andrew R. Allphin, age 24, 816 Second Street,
Marietta, for failing to require his dog to wear a valid dog
tag on 1 Oct 04.
Tyra E. Gandy, age 21, 1515 Camp Hervida Road, Waterford,
for disorderly conduct by fighting on 19 Oct 04.
Rosalie M. Powell, age 27, 890 Rainbow Road, Waterford, for
contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on
unpaid fines in the sum of $240.50.
Florizel Woodford, age 53, 11355 State Route 26, Newport,
for aggravated menacing on 20 Apr 04.
Andrew B. Tucker, age 21, 26930 State Route
7, Marietta, for contempt for failure to appear on an order
to show cause on 6 Dec 04.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Anthony Jamar Heard, age 23, 1301 Centre Parkway
Apt. 51, Lexington, KY, for driving under an OVI suspended
license and for speeding, both misdemeanors. Heard was arrested
near mile post eight on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway
Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15
Dec 04 at 2:25 am.
Keith Ray Myers Sr., age 57, 380 Second Street,
Pomeroy, for theft, a felony. Myers was arrested at the Washington
County Courthouse by Lt. Coppernoll of the Washington County
Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 15 Dec 04 at 11:30 am.
Brian Lynn Hendershot, age 20, 44A Williamson Avenue, New
Matamoras, for improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle
and for underage consumption of alcohol, both misdemeanors.
Hendershot was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff
Malone and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15
Dec 04 at 12:08 pm.
