On 10 Dec 04 Amber Best, age 25, 17612 State Route 555, Cutler, reported to Deputy Sheriff Malone that her former boyfriend Chris Hill, age 33, 857 Southland Cemetery Road, Cutler, came near her residence in violation of a court ordered protection order shouted obscenities at her. Confirming Ms. Best’s accusation with a witness, Deputy Malone located and arrested Mr. Hill for violating a protection order and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

On 10 Dec 04 an employee of the Reno Service Shop, 107 Dunedin Road, Marietta, reported finding a customer’s Chevy S-10 stuck in a rut of mud in what appeared to be an ill-fated attempt to remove two of the customer’s lawnmowers from the shop without paying. This case remains under investigation (232).

the Sheriff’s Office received the following warrant:

Jason W. Steele, age 31, Route 2 Box 386, St Marys, for failure to appear, having originally been charged with passing bad checks.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Robert Wayne Moore, age 52, State Route 266, Stockport, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Moore was arrested at the Washington county line by Lt. Huffer of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 Dec 04 at 2:00 am.

John Edward Ludwig, age 43, Route 1 Box 44A, Williamstown, for violating a court ordered protection order, a misdemeanor. Ludwig was arrested at Kmart in Marietta by Patrolman Hupp of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 Dec 04 at 4:00 pm.

Christopher Shawn Hill, age 33, 857 Southland Cemetery Road, Cutler, for violating a court ordered protection order, a misdemeanor. Hill was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Malone and processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 Dec 04 at 5:45 pm.
