On 5 Dec 04 Sheila J. Cline, age 75, 813 Grandview
Avenue, New Matamoras, reported between 28 Nov and 5 Dec a
Generac ten horsepower generator was stolen from a storage
building on his property. This case remains under investigation
(107).
On 5 Dec 04 Deputy Sheriff Mankins responded
to reports in the vicinity of the Duke and Duchess in Lowell
of a grey van operating in an erratic manner. Deputy Mankins
located and observed the vehicle weaving in its lane around
mile post twelve on State Route 60. The driver Francisco V.
Mendoza, age 40, 116 Buckeye Avenue Apt. 6, Marietta, smelled
of alcohol and fumbled with his wallet as he spoke with Deputy
Mankins. Subsequent to performing poorly on field sobriety
tests, Deputy Mankins arrested Mr. Mendoza for OVI and transported
him to the Washington County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Brian Keith Lumpkins, age 31, 214 Hamilton
Street, New Richmond, OH, for speeding, operating with an expired
license, for possession of drugs and for possession of drug
paraphernalia, all misdemeanors. Lumpkins was arrested on State
Route 50 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 5 Dec 04 at 5:45 am.
Bruce Alan Casto, age 46, 17273 Ferguson Street, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Casto
turned himself in to Deputy Sheriff McLeish and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 5 Dec 04 at 12:20 pm.
Stacia Ann Tabler, age 26, 1282 Mayle Ridge Road, Cutler,
for failing to require her dog to wear valid tags, a misdemeanor.
Tabler was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Dec 04 at
1:00 pm.
Mona Kaye Valentine, age 29, 1111 ½ George
Street Apt. 4, Parkersburg, for operating without a license
and for failing to maintain assured clear distance, both misdemeanors.
Valentine was picked up in Belpre by Patrolman Warden of the
Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 5 Dec 04 at 5:55 pm.
Francisco Viermes Mendoza, age 40, 115 Hart Street Apt. 6,
Marietta, for .17 breath OVI, a misdemeanor. Mendoza was arrested
near mile post twelve on State Route 60 by Deputy Sheriff Mankins
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Dec 04 at
8:10 pm.
