On 1 Dec 04 Jim Falkenburg, age 61, 1240 Goose Run Road, Marietta, reported two unidentified males entered Silvesco Inc., 3380 State Route 26, Marietta, and between 4 and 5 am that morning and removed a small fireproof safe. This case remains under investigation (1091).

On 1 Dec 04 Deputy Sheriff Mankins initiated a traffic stop on Washington Boulevard in Belpre after observing the driver of a Jeep swerve left of the centerline and sideswipe a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction. As Jared B. Davis, age 22, 568 State Route 555, Little Hocking, exited the vehicle he fell against the door and appeared to Deputy Mankins as intoxicated. Following poor performances on field sobriety tests Deputy Mankins arrested Mr. Davis for OVI and driving left of center and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Jared Bailey Davis, age 22, 568 State Route 555, Little Hocking, for OVI and for driving left of center, both misdemeanors. Davis was arrested in Belpre by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Dec 04 at 2:05 am.

Jason Christoph Scarberry, age 31, 76 Noe Road, Orwell, OH, for OVI, operating with an expired or with no operator’s license and for speeding, all misdemeanors. Scarberry was picked up in Lake County by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Dec 04 at 1:05 pm.
