On 25 Nov 04 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes investigated a collision during which Sheila Y. Metz, age 33, 1086 Hocking Road, Little Hocking, struck a deer. Ms. Metz was traveling southbound on State Route 124 in Belpre Township when she struck a deer with her Nissan SUV, causing functional damage. No injuries were reported.

On 25 Nov 04 Tammy S. Mayle, age 41, 1206 Drag Strip Road, Belpre, reported her estranged husband Argle F. Mayle, age 44, against whom she has a protection order, appeared at her home and knocked on the door. Mrs. Mayle opened the door, Mr. Mayle insulted his wife then proceeded to punch her in the mouth before fleeing the scene. In consequence Deputy Sheriff Rhodes requested warrants for the arrest of Mr. Mayle for domestic violence and for violating a court ordered protection order.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Elton Dean Hart Jr., age 29, 2701 State Route 83, Hackney, OH, for driving under a suspended license and for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, both misdemeanors. Hart was arrested in Waterford by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Nov 04 at 1:40 am.

Scotty Lorenzo Myles Jr., age 21, 906 Brookway West, Lewisville, NC, for OVI, driving under a suspended license and for speeding, all misdemeanors. Myles was arrested near mile post fourteen on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Nov 04 at 8:05 pm.
