On 18 Nov 04 an employee of Hilltop Auto Wrecking, 975 Blue Knob Road, Marietta, reported the business received a bad check for $21.50 on 14 Oct 04. This case remains under investigation (8411).

On 18 Nov 04 John A. Burge II, age 18, 101 Dye Circle, Marietta, struck a deer as he traveled westbound on Rosenbush Road, 1.3 miles east of County Nine Road in Newport Township. Mr. Burge’s Chevy SUV sustained heavy damage and was towed from the scene. Mr. Burge suffered minor injuries and was transported for treatment by the Newport Volunteer Fire Department.

On 18 Nov 04 a forty-three year old Marietta resident reported she has been receiving harassing phone calls from an unidentified individual for the past month. This case remains under investigation (597).

On 18 Nov 04 Matthew Huck, age 22, 90 Huck Lane, Vincent, reported while he was away from his home between 6:30 am and 3 pm that day, an unknown suspect(s) entered his home and stole over five hundred dollars in cash, a pair of Legacy speakers, a Legacy amplifier and a Virtualboy game system. This case remains under investigation (1090).

the Sheriff’s Office received the following warrants:

Richard C. Flood, age 39, Marian, OH, for violating the terms of his community control upon conviction of violating a court ordered protection order.

Brandon S. Walters, age 22, 137 Franklin Street, for indictment on charges of breaking and entering.

Jonathan M. Brownfield, age 35, 713 Fifth Street, Belpre, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on an order to show cause on 12 Nov 04.

Patrick E. North, age 43, 8920 Old Grade Road, Chesterhill, for two counts of breach of recognizance for failing to appear for a jury trial on 5 Nov 04.

Stacia Tabler, age 26, 1282 Mayle Ridge Road, Cutler, for failing to require her dog to wear a valid dog tag on 27 Sep 04.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Barbara Ann Smith, age 27, PO Box 132, Macksburg, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Smith was picked up in Noble County by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Nov 04 at 10:45 am.

Richard Carl Flood, age 39, 26 ½ Elm Street, Marion, OH, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Flood was picked up in Noble County by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Nov 04 at 4:45 pm.

Ryan Patrick Nelson, age 21, 54875 State Route 681, Reedsville, OH, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Nelson was arrested on Washington Boulevard in Belpre by Patrolman Jobes of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Nov 04 at 9:24 pm.
