On 16 Nov 04 Melissa Vanscyoc, age 33, 20350
State Route 60, Beverly, reported she has not seen her forty-seven
year old roommate since predetermining an after work meeting
place two days ago. This case remains under investigation (945).
On 16 Nov 04 an employee of Leslie Equipment,
105 Tennis Center Drive, Marietta, reported between 5 pm Friday
evening and 8 am Tuesday morning, two John Deere Gator utility
vehicles were stolen from outside the business. This case remains
under investigation (500).
On 16 Nov 04 an employee of Par Mar #2, 8600
State Route 339, Vincent, reported at 2:30 pm that afternoon
an unidentified male left the store without paying for two
packs of generic cigarettes. This case remains under investigation
(586).
On 16 Nov 04 Deputy Sheriff Willson responded
to the scene of a burnt out vehicle fire at the residence of
James E. Williams, age 31, 150 Goebel Road, Wingett Run. Mr.
Williams stated his company truck and ATV were unscathed at
10:30 pm Tuesday night but when he saw the vehicle at 6:30
am Wednesday the vehicle was completely burned. Deputy Willson
forwarded the facts of this case to the State Fire Marshall
for further investigation.
On 16 Nov 04 Deputy Sheriff Willson responded
to the scene of the death of a ninety-two year old Newport
resident. The death appears to be due to natural causes, no
foul play is suspected.
On 16 Nov 04 a seventy-seven year old Marietta
resident reported for the past three months she has been receiving
harassing phone calls from an individual requesting her personal
information. Prudently, the victim declined to release such
information. This case remains under investigation (1183).
On 16 Nov 04 Sgt. Hiatt and Deputy Sheriff
Norman were dispatched to the home of Kevin King, age 50, 9855
State Route 821, Lower Salem, in response to a domestic violence
complaint. Mr. King informed the Deputies his cousin Patrick
A. Brannan, age 42, 50 Railroad Street, Whipple, came into
his house and after a short while assaulted him and his wife
without provocation. During the altercation Mr. Brannan punched
Mr. King in the face and Mrs. King in the chest before being
forced to leave the residence. Deputy Norman later located
Mr. Brannan at the Whipple Tavern, arrested him for felony
domestic violence for having a previous conviction of domestic
violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.
On 16 Nov 04 Ellen Howard, age 47, 10 Back
Road, Macksburg, reported witnessing two trucks on a neighbor’s
property removing scrap metal without the owner’s consent.
Ms. Howard called a nearby scrap yard who in turn, phoned the
Noble County Sheriff’s Office to question the three suspects.
When questioned, Robert L. Boylen II, age 23, 36947 Township
Road 291, Lower Salem, Gregory L. Frye, age 23, and Christopher
W. Frye, age 20, both of 5950 State Route 530, Lowell, admitted
taking the metal without permission and are being charged with
receiving stolen property (1071).
On 16 Nov 04 Erin B. Robinson, age 25, 2818
Bear Run Road, Reno, reported between 5 pm Monday night and
8 am Tuesday morning, her wallet and contents were stolen from
atop her desk at the Child Support Enforcement agency inside
the Washington County Courthouse. This case remains under investigation
(592).

Office received the following warrant:
Jared L. Gillespie, age 31, 14403 State Route
676, Waterford, for breach of recognizance for failing to appear
for a jury trial on 26 Oct 04.
Angela L. Striblin, age 45, 707 Elm Street,
Belpre, for failing to show proof of paying restitution or
to appear to serve seven days in jail on 3 Nov 04.
Darrell L. Johnson, age 31, 1350 Long Run Road, Newport, for
violating the terms of his probation by failing to appear for
a scheduled meeting and for failing to show proof of completing
counseling or to complete sixty days of house arrest as ordered
by the court.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Adam Dale Mason, age 20, 2100 Hill Street
Apt. G, Belpre, for violating the terms of his probation, for
driving under a suspended license and for passing bad checks,
all misdemeanors. Mason was arrested at his residence by Bail
Bondsman Nicholson and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 16 Nov 04 at 12:01 am.
Michael Edward Allen, age 42, 2053 Laurel
Ridge Road, Lowell, for failure to appear at a court ordered
hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Allen was arrested
in Marietta Municipal Court by Probation Officer Hamilton and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Nov 04 at 11:45
am.
Joshua David McDaniel, age 20, 8986 Murray Ridge Road, Elyria,
OH, for a felony charge of drug possession and misdemeanor
charges of possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia
and for driving under an FRA suspended license. McDaniel was
arrested on Third Street by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Nov 04 at 3:20
pm.
Michael David Blind, age 25, 1221 Sealy Ridge
Road, Vincent, for violating the terms of his probation, a
misdemeanor. Blind
was picked up in Franklin County by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Nov 04
at 7:15 pm.
Jason Roger Allberry, age 27, 138 First Street,
Buckeye Lake, OH, for failure to appear at a court ordered
hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Allberry was picked up in Licking County
by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 16 Nov 04 at 7:40 pm.
Brian Carl Craig, age 33, 820 Windy Ridge
Road, Vincent, a fugitive from justice, a felony. Craig was
arrested in Belpre
by Detective Schuck of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16
Nov 04 at 8:10 pm.
Patrick Alan Brannan, age 42, 50 Railroad Street, Whipple,
for two felony charges of domestic violence. Brannan was arrested
in Whipple by Deputy Sheriff Norman and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 16 Nov 04 at 10:00 pm.
