On 15 Nov 04 an employee of Smith Concrete, 26650 State Route 7, Marietta, reported the business received a bad check for $440.48 on 29 Jul 04. This case remains under investigation (8411).

On 15 Nov 04 Theresa Thomas, age 43, 100 Dunedin Road, Marietta, reported receiving an envelope in the mail with a white powder and a note and purporting the substance was anthrax. A thirteen year old and a fourteen year old girl were questioned and admitted sending the powder as a prank. Tests conducted by the Ohio Department of Health as a precaution were negative for anthrax. The two juveniles were summonsed to juvenile court by Detective Jenkins on delinquency charges.

The following individual wAS processed into the Washington County Jail:

Ryan Jason Hebert, age 31, 118 Bartlett Street Apt. C, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Hebert was arrested on Harmar Hill in Marietta by Patrolman Mitchell of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Nov 04 at 10:15 pm.
